I was on a break from writing reviews. But, I had to write on this one. I went to this restaurant with a friend of mine. As a restaurant owner myself, I truly believe that the behaviour of the staff matters more than the food. A warm smile can genuinely elevate any dining experience, even if the food is impeccable. It's clear the poor staff member I encountered needs a break and some support. Coming to food, while the keema naan was decent, I've had better elsewhere. However, the chicken was enjoyable. It's interesting that they serve in balti, akin to a bucket in India, but don't expect bucket-sized portions. Overall, a reminder that excellent service enhances the dining experience more than just the dishes themselves. Ta! :)

If you confuse which one to order, try The Exhausting Balti with Peshwari Naan. We're coming with empty stomach, and looking for something that sums up all the menu in one plates. Turns out it was very delicious and has rich flavor. The atmosphete of Balti House was very homey, especially if you come from Asia. So many handmade tablecloth framed on the wall as a decoration and it was very beautiful. The lady that served us was very friendly. Love everything here!

Delicious food!!! Lots of vegetarian, gluten free, vegan and meat options. We had 1x vegetable pakora, 1x eggplant and mushroom Balti, 1x Balti vege meat and 1x garlic naan. They made it all vegan on request. The mains were made a medium-hot spice and were right on the money. You could taste everything well, while feeling just enough heat. YUMMY!!! The staff were all super friendly, welcoming and attentive. Ngā mihi!

Arrived around 6.30 pm as the first guests of the night. A bottle of Stoneleigh Pinot Gris was 400% more expensive than the supermarket! It is a BYO Wine only restaurant.

We ate the platter for 2. Was pretty stock standard. I ordered a garlic naan and a chicken garlic curry. There was no overwhelming sense of garlic in either. Being indian I hate it when an indian restaurant bulks out a curry with mashed pumpkin and potato then leaves only 3-4 pieces of meat. I want what I pay for! We also ordered a lamb biryani. That did have some flavour and was more edible.

Sadly the service was very slow. We watched the time - entree platter took 30 minutes to come and dinner was about the same. They seemed to be distracted by a small flood which had happened the first time in the seven years they'd been there.

Indian music was good and the restaurant decorated well. A shame to be let down by several other things. We won't go back. In response to their reply - we took home 3-4 containers. Most of the biryani was eaten at the restaurant because it was the best of what was served. A week after we'd been, the food bought home was still n our fridge - no one had touched it and it was thrown out. Says a lot about their food.

I also didn't mention the plastic in one of the meals. When the owner saw it she dismissed it as from a container and no discount...

I tried dinner with my friend in Balti House on last Wednesday. So there was no customer at the time entered but gradually people start coming for dine in. We ordered Mango Lassi, Butter Garlic naan and Kadai Paneer. Curry was delicious with rich species. Naan was really cooked perfectly, supper soft and crunchy hence Naan easily melted in mouth. Curry quantity was enough for two people with. Customer Service was superb. little bit expensive compare to on floor staff but may be because of current staff shortage across country. So recommended any one who wants to taste good food go on weekday so you can enjoy food without any disruption in service and people. Instrumental music in background is making positive vibes inside. Restaurant is small but superb....
