A family friendly holiday park with excellent facilites, conveniently located in Leamington, Cambridge. Only a 4 minute walk to great cafes, takeaways and the other services of Leamington, and 5 minutes drive to the supermarkets and shopping in Cambridge itself. The sites are well sized, and there was adequate room for manouvreing caravans and motorhomes. We had a pleasant stay at Cambridge Top 10, who are living up well to the Top 10 brand and standards.

We arrived just before 8pm and picked up the envelope left with site information, in the process of setting up a camper in site next to us informed us that as we were under a tree we would not get reception for satellite? This was very disappointing, we sent email and the following morning Ester rang with the reasoning, and I quote, “you didn’t ask for a site with reception”, in all of our years camping both here in NZ and overseas we have never had to ask for a site with reception … the next excuse was we had a dog and that was the reason, but then went onto say, “thou we do have other sites” … the consumer fair trading act states that “a product should be fit for purpose”, which was NOT the case. On making the reservation prior by phone, (as asked to do if you had a dog), the charge to our credit card was taken even before seeing the site. So as not to find yourself in the same position as us, I suggest for this Top 10 campsite, (have never needed to in other Top 10), if you want a site with reception … ASK FOR IT!!! What was even more dissappointing was Ester readily admitted that she knew the site would not get reception … what is so hard about being upfront … rather than making silly excuses when confronted...

I booked at the last minute and was given the options available, selected one and explained that I would be arriving late. The woman I spoke to was extremely helpful and explained their late arrival procedure. This was carried out to a "T" and made me feel that I was listen to and my needs were met. Heap pump was on when I arrived which I was very grateful for, overall just a really pleasant, easy experience. Highly recommended! Price was $132 for a cabin with no facilities (use of communal) which I do think is a wee bit high however I needed somewhere to stay so I paid the price. It did sleep 3 so essentially you are paying for 2 beds that are not used. It would be nice if camping grounds in general catered a bit more to solo travellers'. I do not mind using the kitchen facilities but would prefer my own bathroom in the cabin so would like to see more just say 1 or 2 person options available. This is not a criticism of this place but my overall preference to camping...
