TLDR: Mid food, with an hour wait

Me, my brother and my father feel like Indian for dinner so naturally we go to the Indian place and arrive at 6:30. We walk in and get taken to a table of 3. There are no cups so we had to take them off another table, there was no staff out front so I had to grab a menu from behind the counter.

A waiter shows up eventually and we make the order. A platter, one madras with rice, two garlic Naans and one Cheesey Naan. (No drinks) A pretty reasonable order

We wait And wait And wait 30 minutes go by and just as we're about to leave they bring out (and this is how they get ya) the platter. So now we're locked into eating there. This entire time not one person has been served besides the UberEats people who keep coming. The Platter was OK, it was average.

Then we wait And wait And wait

30 more minutes, after talking to the waitress and whatnot we finally got served. Absolutely tiny amount of rice, and then the Garlic Naans were crispy, stale and overcooked, furthermore they hadn't even buttered most of them properly. However the Madras was OK, certainly not hour of waiting OK but OK nonetheless.

Only two other tables was served the entire hour we were there, one at the start and one at the end (most got their trap-platters) and there was like 7 tables there. They seemed however to really put the Mahi in when it comes to UberEats, they certainly didn't have to wait an hour...

spend a lot of time and money at a local Indian restaurant but alas it was closed due to a wedding. we decided to give Sahara India a try. we were greeted by a very charismatic young lady who show us to our table, she then started to apologise for lots of issues we did not see and this made us a little uncomfortable and starting looking for faults, we did here sorry to other customers throughout our dining experience. we noted two people did leave before service. by saying sorry for lots of issues we did not see and this made us a little uncomfortable, we did here sorry to other customers throughout our dining experience and it made as a little unsettled. i think "i will fix or rectify the issue" or "I apologize" would be a better approach. some of the dishes were nice but a few were like food hall meals and were hard to eat. i don't think we will be back, not a nice dining experience at all but not a hard thing to fix.

a bit more love for traditional food made with heart would be an...

Wow..so much to say! Its not often you find yourself searching for words that accurately describe such an amazing food experience like Sahara India.

We ordered lamb masalla and butter chicken with rice, a mango lassi and garlic cheese naan. The restaurant had the friendliest staff and the food came quickly, everything was so fresh but let me tell you, that garlic naan bread was so unbelievably perfect, it left my wife and I utterly speechless and begging for more! It was cheesy and lathered with fresh garlic butter, It was love at first bite!

We knew the risks but we did it anyway! We suddenly started dipping the naan into the butter chicken sauce...The flavour was so grand, so heavenly we nearly passed out from sheer flavour overload!

It was unfortunately time leave but fear not; we never leave empty handed! We took a turkish delight to go 😘

Thank you for the...

Is tried on a few occasions to eat here but it's been closed. Today i was lucky while my camper van was booked next door for a wof. My immediate reaction is the modern lovely new furniture and look. The lovely enthusiastic helpful waitress attended to my rather relaxed easy going demenior. Indian food can be very similar so it was rather nice to get a spinach cream chicken and garlic naan tasting refreshingly different. Rice was smack on. I like my teas so got an un suggared Massala tea. This was powdered and although ok lacked the depth of flavour a real massala infused tea has. Refreshingly different and i have no trouble recommending this.

The service and staff where super over attentive, the place was a little quiet for a Friday night. The wine list was pretty weak with one Chardonnay and no Rose wines on offer. The nan bread was good, the roti just didn’t taste like a roti. whilst we were given warm plates, the food itself was not that hot and got cold very quickly and the lamb rogan josh was a little watery. I would however go back purely based on the good service.
