If you're looking for a great place to have dinner with drinks in Thames, this is the spot you should choose. The menu may not be extensive, but what they offer is served in generous portions with exceptional quality. I celebrated my 40th birthday here, and even though I only contacted the restaurant a few hours before, they were able to accommodate me immediately and confirmed my booking via text.
Two wonderful ladies took our orders and served our drinks and food. They were energetic, kind, and made the experience even more enjoyable. A couple runs this place, and it’s clear that both are involved in the day-to-day operations. They’re always available to address any concerns and have excellent knowledge about the menu.
I’m not typically used to fusion-style tacos, but these were fantastic—not only in taste but also in presentation. They were eye-catching and delicious. I especially loved the cocktails and mocktails, and I recommend trying the additional cocktails they offer. These aren't on the menu, but you can ask about them, and they’ll be posted on their Google page.
The staff and guests all wished me a happy birthday, which made the evening even more special.
For food, I highly recommend the fried chicken—it’s incredibly tasty, served with a soy-based sauce mixed with oil. It's absolutely delicious! The fried chicken tacos were also a highlight—don't miss them; your palate will thank you later.
The medium-rare steak I ordered was cooked to perfection and served with a buttery gravy that complemented it beautifully. If you order the chips, they’re huge and crispy—perfect for sharing with three people.
All the cocktails I tried were top-notch. We also tried the pasta, but it wasn’t to our taste—perhaps it was due to the type of pasta used. A spaghetti-style pasta would have been a better choice, in my opinion.
The restaurant offers both indoor seating with beautiful interiors and a lovely backyard area for a more nature-filled dining experience.
This is definitely a go-to spot for any special occasion. If you're in the Thames area, I highly recommend...

Very minimalist simplistic place, very comfortable and cozy place to come for some Kai and a good time.
I visit Thames regularly and will always go for a walk down Grahamstown, and it took a few months to realise Eretas was there. I finally went with family, who are constantly raving about Eretas - and now I know why!
Between 5 of us we ordered tostada crudo trevally dish, this was outstanding. It was so fresh, with a horseradish type sauce, plenty of capers, oil and fresh basil - 10/10 definitely my favourite dish! (Although they were all outstanding!), Sourdough with everything butter, and whipped feta, with delicious olives and more sourdough, chicken tacos, eye filet - rare and prefectly cooked with a herb butter, and of course fries with truffle mayo. All of it was wholesome, simple but really well done with fine fresh seasonal produce.
Service was easy, done effortlessly, and was quick with little fuss and much enjoyment. Thanks ladies!
Drinks were good, fantastic little selection of drinkable offerings. Yummy margaritas, look forward to coming when the margarita slushies are on!
Price was really reasonable for the amount of food we got, and the quality of food, which was exceptional. I’m so excited to tell everyone about this place and come to try some more off the menu. This is what Thames has been waiting for!
Look forward to my next visit! Thanks...
Read moreSo glad this restaurant opened up in Thames! This restaurant is a vegetarians dream. Heaps of vegetarian options. Enjoyed our plates here.
Pork belly was so delicious, absolutely recommend! Buratta dish could do with some salt and pepper and tomatoes soaked with some flavour as they let the dish down slightly. Eggplant dish needed more feta and less oil sauce as the Feta pairs really well with the eggplant. Fries were yummy! We also had the corn and jalapeno dip with taco chips, this needed some more flavour, would of been really nice to chop and mix the jalapeño through the corn with pamersan through it. I enjoyed eating the taco chips with the corrinander sauce from the pork belly dish though, really yummy, perhaps add that as a small side dish to your menu hehe.
Drink menu really good, mango and chillie margarita needed more tequila. Table and staff service amaaaazing! Live band was even better! Enjoyed our night here!
I'd also recommend having salt and pepper shakers on your tables, also book a table in advance as they are very busy😊 Overall would definitely recommend eating here and...
