If it would allow me, No star/s for this property. Checked in and checked out soon after. Relayed concerns to reception of room cleanliness standard. Broken power point sockets, bathroom vanity drawer face broken, only the raw wood visible and different to rest of vanity. Strong bleach and damp smell in the room. Tub chair was waxy with dirt. The chair arms were caked with dark waxy dirt. Chairs were soiled. Reception said they had never received complaints before however I asked who oversees the room prior to listing, apparently the cleaners have full authorization to complete. My shoe got caught on the ripped rubber covering on the stairs leading up to the rooms. Thats the first image you see before your room. I told the receptionist I was not going to pay for a room that was totally different to what was advertised online. She showed me the exact room online and that it had clean disability amenities but we did not require nor book this service. Receptionist ran over to eftpos machine and put the transaction through although I told her not to. I enquired whether the owner was aware of the conditions and was told owner lived overseas and did not respond to complaints or concerns. Unfortunately I did not take any photos, my 12 yr old and I vacated as soon as we could, silly move. My stay status was changed to "no-show" which is incorrect so I was charged the one night stay. Terrible to be confronted with an unclean room totally different to advert. Basic cleaning and if you're taking money for a service a high standard should be expected or the same as what you advertise. No word from the motel to date. The whole exterior also did not present as advertised online.

What we loved about this place is the fact that we can just walk to a number of attractions. The most interesting is the Miseum of NZ (around 25mins walk) and you will be by the Wellington Waterfront Walk in a seconds. Love the walking as it was still winter and the windy weather really made it a pleasure walk. The place is also a thrown away from 24hr McDonalds but not sure if its safe to walk to McD at night alone as the building and its surroundings can be a little bit intimidating... The nice part of our stay was the fact that the room was on the ground floor and next ro the reception area. We arrived very early in the morning and as our room was still not ready, we spent time walking around the place. Around 11am, the hotel called and informed us that the room is ready and the have helped with our luggages... will certainly come again

Spent the last 4 days at this place, the room was spacious, clean well equipped ( some come with a kitchen and some don‘t) depending what you’re after you‘d have to book accordingly. If you don’t want to cook you‘d have some takeaways within 10 minutes walking otherwise Uber eats is your friend. The hosts are friendly too, you‘d have a decent size forecourt with reasonable parking for a few cars. You have a 20 minute stroll to courtenay place where all the Pubs and Bars are. Great location for walking to town and don’t worry about finding carparking. Very quiet at night too despite it beeing right on the road. Can’t do much wrong if you’re looking for a reasonable priced place with included parking in Wellington. Cheers

Worst experience of my life!!!!!!||The stay in the room was 2/5. The walls were paper thin, like the neighbours were in your space 24/7. The best thing- and only reason it got a 2, was the cleaner, who did an outstanding job.||Due to having to leave one night earlier than the 7 nights booked (due to an emergency), I asked if we could get a refund. He replied that we need to give 24 hours notice. I completely understood and asked where from here. He stated he could try and onsell the room or provide a credit. I was happy with either. To be clear, we had paid nearly $1800 upfront at the beginning of the week. So he had all of our money.||I always book through Expedia for credit and on my return home, I emailed him on three different occasions inquiring about my Expedia points. He finally replied and told me he had cancelled my Expedia credits, despite me paying IN FULL when we arrived.||I rang him to discuss this issue and he did not allow me to speak, but started the conversation by screaming repeatedly “You f&@$en B@&$@h!! You f$&@en liar!!” down the phone at me. He wouldn’t even let me speak and ask about the Expedia credits. After 2 minutes of constant profanity and abuse, I hung up in tears. When my husband rang him back, he called me horrific names (“Your wife is a prostitute”) , made references to my husband’s anatomy and threatened us with “I know where you live!!” Which we have recorded.||This has been an absolutely horrific experience and I would not recommend this Motel as long as this man works there. His horrific abuse and threats have caused me a...

DO NOT STAY AT THIS MOTEL. We had competed a 3 week tour of the South Island staying at 14 motels. All were Studio units and all had a kitchen. After checking in to Marksman and paying, we found no kitchen! On asking at office, were told that it was only a "studio" and does not have kitchen!!! Was offered another motel with kitchen but was told I would have to pay for that as well. No refund at Marksman. TV would not work. Asked at office and staff found that TV had been turned off at the back. Apparently I was supposed to know that. Parking is impossible. More units than parking spaces. It is first come first in. However some guests were "reserving' a space by putting a cone in the park so no one else could use it. If no space you had to park out on the road some distance away. With no kitchen we could only rinse dishes. On leaving, I went to reception to say I had not washed the dishes because there was no drain plug for the bathroom basin and no dishwashing liquid. The motel owner was on the phone when I went in. I was ignored for some time and then he put a pen and paper on the counter for me to write on. I did that explaining why the dishes were not washed. Believe it or not I was told f..k off. Obviously they did not like me asking about the "studio" unit or the TV not working or the parking or no basin plug or dishwashing liquid. As I have said, DO NOT STAY...
