March Apartments and Extended Stay Dunedin — Hotel in South Island

Accommodation was not as advertised plus the owner is very rude and treated us appallingly. We booked this accommodation because the description said it had private parking, which we needed,it does not have any parking. When we asked the owner about this he didn't care at all and didn't seem at all interested in rectifying the situation. The booking agent contacted the owner on our behalf, because we couldn't bear to talk to him again due to his attitude, and negotiated a refund if we were out by 10am the next morning, we were out by 9am (after an awful nights sleep). We found alternative accommodation for the next two nights. Now the owner is refusing to honour the deal and won't refund our money! We did everything asked of us but they will not be decent human beings. We are now out of pocket and had an awful experience. I would not recommend this...

Consisting of a modest complex of 2 floor apartments its location being about 2 km. from the town centre made it ideal for a quiet stay. Although parking was tight individual parking bays were assigned to the unit. We especially enjoyed the landscaping which was well done & well maintained. We took the studio unit which has a comfortable King sized bed, a small dining area & living room with an en-suite bathroom. Kitchen facilities were basic with no major cooking possible beyond a microwave & and a mini oven. The 'habaki' style hot plate was a nice added touch. The room did have basic kitchen utensils. The Studio unit didn’t come with a washing machine but the single & double bedroom units do. There was also a small balcony which I suspect catered to smokers. Its strange reading some of the reviews of these apartments. I thought I was reading about somewhere else because our experience was polar opposite to them.||||We booked a studio room for three nights and the day before check in we were told we had been upgraded to a one bed room apartment which we very much appreciated.||The apartment was well furnished, very clean and the bed was comfortable.||Our parking was right in front of our unit, a bit narrow for our car and a bit of juggling was required but that was fine.
