Used to go to Rhubarb many years ago and loved it. Went today for the first time in awhile and although we left finishing our plates, we were a bit iffy with some things.
Purchased the avocado on toast priced at $16.50, yet the "toast" was just bread yet is listed as toast, no butter and extremely crumbly making it a messy meal, however it tasted fine, the dukkah was pretty strong but I did finish my meal.
Coffee was meh. They do supply the brand Aroha of drinks, the sparkling rhubarb is the best! So it was nice to see that brand as I hadn't seen it in Dunedin at all.

It's not the first time I've seen this happen at Rhubarb either but I made the mistake of returning as it's my local and I thought maybe he was just having an off day. He also served me a coffee with spoiled milk at my last visit, I had to tip it out. Absolutely revolting service, when I asked how his day was the owner said to me "my day would be good if I didn't own a cafe". Will not...
