Read moreI like the hotel's atmosphere, small hidden away and a quiet gem. However this is probably the last time I'm going to stay here. What made this hotel outstanding were the little things. The gate man was always there to make sure you were a guest every time you entered the establishment, the bellboys there to help with your every need. Now you drive up, no one asks you anything, you have to look at the bellboy twice before you're helped. The cleaning staff are still excellent, however the towels and sheets are no longer white but a reddish color. You only have water no juice or any snack added to your room and the worst is the breakfast and here is why. So you have paid for the breakfast ,why can't it be brought up to your room? Yet the wait staff just continually circle to feed themselves, including take away containers. I remember coming down late and there was still bread left, it was almost a problem for me to eat the bread. I know it's Nigeria. I am not from Nigeria but I am not here to fight with the staff about food that I paid to eat, since the breakfast is for staff, have staff pay for the rooms at the hotel. The practice of having both staff and guest eat the buffet breakfast is what must have caused this problem so no I will not be returning to the hotel after my stay here. It's the little things that make for...
Read moreLove love love this hotel!!!!! The rooms are tastefully done, I literally drooled over the room! Coincidentally, I was in the hotel several years ago when it was a protea hotel and didn't go past the reception. My first impulse when I saw it was not protea was to think it was a lower standard hotel but this was not the case at all. This time, I had privilege of going in, interacting with some of the staff, the ambiance even from outside the hotel is peaceful. The room......taste was heavily displayed. The bathroom behind a curved stone wall, the ripple tiles, the bathtub can conveniently accommodate two, the 2-way shower, the porcelain is exquisitely designed, hair dryer, enhanced mirror, central a/c etc. Even the tea rack stacked all types of foreign teas and coffee blended with bournvita hot chocolate and sachet milk, sugar and sweetener. This is definitely a harmony of class, taste, chic and elegance. Definitely, a getaway and honeymoon spot. Smack in the middle of lagos mainland yet hidden from the noise. I love love love this hotel. The wood finish of the furniture, awesome! I had the opportunity to eat breakfast, it was a buffet and very tastefully done. Coffee was freshly brewed with warm milk. Salt level was appropriate for those with low salt taste buds. Lots of fruits, confectionary and cereal. Definitely...
