GrandCapital Hotel Ikoyi — Hotel in Lagos Island

Everything about this hotel is 5 star. It's absolutely relaxing. Its a home away from home. I was shocked when i heard the fee, it was soo affordable. 25k room in the heart of Ikoyi. The room was just too sweet. We made our bookings before we got there later in the night. We had booked for just a day but the cosiness made us add extra days. It's very close to the federal marriage Registry which is why we used it. The bed was just so soft to sleep in. The service was top notch. I always complain when I sleep away from home but you see this grand capital hotel, they left me amazed. I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you so much. From Mr & Mrs...

Staff are polite and accommodating. Its also located in a good serene environment. I had lunch of fried rice there and it was sooo delicious. Quick and prompt service too. The downside are that facility is old and needs maintainance but its value for the cost anyway. Also, the entrance gate is narrow which makes parking or driving out of the compound a tad difficult. In addition, the road to the hotel is narrow with too many recklessly drivers plying it at top speed (heavy duty locomotives like trailers are also allowed to ply this narrow road and one drove straight at me at top speed), so you may want to be careful...

My recent visit shows that the hotel has run down badly, rooms have moulds all over, dirty walls, AC not functioning, bathroom not releasing water from drain, food service horrible with dirty plates, laundry is terrible - cant even dry clean a shirt clean, no internet.
