Debonairs Pizza — Restaurant in Lagos Island

Their pizza is alright, that's why they get 3 stars. However, Debonairs Pizza lacks good service. The service at this store in Ikoyi is actually quite tolerable compared to some of their other stores. I avoid those others as much as I can. Called to place an order and the lady didn’t even know the ingredients in some of their pizzas under the ON THE DOUBLE promo (creamy chicken, chicken noble, BBQ bacon). In fact it was so bad and a little insulting when she said "the BBQ bacon pizza has bacon on it". Like, duh, of course it has bacon, but what else? She owned up that she didn't know, and transferred the phone to someone else. The person's first response was also quite insulting. He said "BBQ bacon pizza has bacon on it and bacon is made of pork". I wished there was a way for them to see how I rolled my eyes over the phone! Other than the name of these particular pizzas, you won't find any other information on them on the website. How are customers expected to make informed decisions when ordering? Anyway, I was told the BBQ bacon is just the crust, cheese, BBQ sauce and bacon, while the creamy chicken is just the crust, their cream sauce, chicken and cheese. There are no veggies at all, not even onions and tomato. If u want these or any other topping, you pay extra. So I went for a triple decker instead, a much better bargain in my opinion cos it comes with different meats, veggies and same cream sauce and cheeses. After placing my order, I asked for the account details so I could pay via bank transfer. I was told the lady who answered the phone initially would text it to me. She never did. I had to call back an additional 2 times. Eventually I called and asked her to read out the details to me over the phone since it was taking forever to send via text message (like, shouldn't you have this info saved on the store's phone so you just copy, paste and send??!!). I really hope they step up in terms of service. I would like to give them 5 stars. Btw, their app is even worse than the website. For starters, they are advertising the Deboniars Pizza App on their IG handle, not the Deboniars Pizza Nigeria app, which is quite misleading 'cos the former is for South Africa. The Nigerian app is a total fail. It has a 1.9 star rating as at the time of this review, yet Deboniars Pizza Nigeria is advertising a 20% discount on orders placed on the app. How do you run a promo for an app that doesn't load? They don't even respond to the reviews. Best way to get your pizza is to go there in person, place your order, pay and collect. Next manageable method is to call the particular store you want to order from. I wouldn't recommend using their website. Don't even bother...

Before I say anything, they've got the BEST pizza in Lagos hands down! Having that settled, here's what you'd like of the place. They are quite cordial in their service, quick to take and prepare your orders. I love the triple decker myself, it's to die for really....really! I'm not happy that they don't have more shops than they do. This just means ordering to locations is very much limited. Talking about ordering, I didn't quite have a good experience as I ordered on the website twice and for some funny reason, it got cancelled minutes after. I had to speak to a supervisor who was super helpful in getting it sorted. They are service...

Debonairs hands down has the cheesiest, meatiest, pizza in Lagos.

That the Awolowo Road Ikoyi outlet still remains open is a testament to how enduring the brand is and this is a take out outlet!

The crust on the pizza is just right, the cheese is super yummy & even the smallest size is filling enough for a grown adult.
