Mr Chang — Restaurant in Lagos Island

I arrived and the 2 Asian guys at the cashier didn’t greet me. Then a waiter came and took us to a table upstairs. One tv was on big brother Nigeria and the other was on nollywood films and the radio was playing. All blasting super loud. Waiter came with one IPad menu but we were two people. I asked for another and he said it was charging. His personal hygiene was horrible and I could smell him ask he approached and took our orders. This really needs to be corrected especially at the restaurant. The food came out exactly as ordered and very fast. The taste was excellent. Other than the service and decor the food is great. Probably better for take out instead of dine in. You’re definitely not going to impress anyone...

Terrible experience.

Waited for our food for more than one hour. After waiting for so long, they did not serve the complete food. They served the special and egg fried rice and the chicken in sweet and sour sauce. They told us they were still making the chicken in black bean sauce. What on earth were we going to do with the chicken in black bean sauce when we must have finished eating the rice dishes.

No one was in charge and the waiters didn't care less. We eventually had to abandon the food and left without eating.

Very awful experience and I shall not be returning there...

I’m honestly confused how this restaurant has been featured on so many YouTubers list of places to go while in Lagos. Food was flavorless and just not good. The food is WAYYYY overpriced. I would not consider this a fine dining restaurant at all. Just very overpriced bland food. The power went off while we were in a restaurant and it took a minute for the generator to kick back on. One side of the restaurant was cool and the other side was hot. Unfortunately we were sat on the hot side. The bathroom was clean at least. I wouldn’t recommend this...
