Located in a residential area, one of the nicest of Asuncion, surrounded by luscious green trees and next to the busiest shopping malls. It has a nice entrance with a stair of 9 steps (it does not have access for the disabled). Its strongest point is a beautiful modern and quite sophisticated design. Everything looks very new and very clean. It has a stylish lobby (it is in the style of the boutique hotels), the rooms are ample, luminous and with many high style deco details. Rooms and corridors smell wonderfully. Artificial lighting is very good. Beds are comfortable, pillows are very good. The minibar is well provided, there are also some few snacks. There is no coffee-machine (in spite of what is told in the booking websites, they do not have a gymn either what is also announced in the booking websites). No ironing board. There are several plugs with American type outlets. There is a large mirror. The bathroom is completely new, ample enough. The shower is huge but not very potent, water is hardly warm. The shower box has a beautiful porcelain floor, although a bit slippery and with not very good bars (older people to be cautious). They offer some amenities (no shower cap, no paper handkerchiefs). There is an augmentation mirror and a hair-dryer that works very well. Breakfast does not have a very wide selection but quality is very good. Internet connection is fine. Every single member of the staff is amazingly kind and attentive to all your possible needs. The rooftop is delightful with a charming pool and a very nice view. It sounds quite perfect, but it has some pitfalls that one assumes come from inexperience (the hotel looks new): in a country where many people may have concerns about the safety of tap water, they do not offer free water bottles. The beds are super King, but they have a light table only on one side. They have a quite wide selection of beverages in the minibar, but they do not have any glasses. And what I have never seen: bathroom has only one roll of toilet paper (none spare). In summary, a boutique hotel that is extremely nice and with good service. It compares favourably to many larger and more expensive hotels in Asuncion. If they improve some details it would be worth a quite higher price than they ask for now. Check-out is 10.00...
Read moreOverviewMarketed as a five-star establishment, this hotel falls significantly short of that standard, offering an experience more in line with a 3-star property at best. However, the excellent value for money creates a compelling proposition for budget-conscious travelers.LocationThe location truly stands out as exceptional (AAA), situated within a small shopping center which provides convenience but comes with notable drawbacks.Room QualityLinens: The towels are noticeably dated and in need of replacementInfrastructure: Air conditioning systems are subparNoise Insulation: Virtually non-existent, particularly problematic given the hotel's locationNoise IssuesUpper Floors: Clearly audible gym classes from the shopping centerFirst Floor: Additional disturbance from restaurant and bar equipment (mixers and other kitchen equipment)Overall: Inadequate soundproofing throughout the propertyDining ExperienceBreakfast Quality: Decent but basicBeverages: Filtered coffee only (no espresso options or cappuccinos)Positives: Fresh fruit juices availableFood Safety Concern: Cold cuts and cheeses are not properly refrigerated (not kept on ice or cooled), raising concerns in the hot climateStaffGeneral Demeanor: Kind and courteousResponsiveness: Very attentive when directly engagedBreakfast Service: Staff frequently distracted by personal cell phones, creating an unprofessional impressionValue AssessmentDespite its five-star classification, this hotel delivers an experience more aligned with a good three-star establishment. However, the value for money is excellent, making it a worthwhile option for travelers who can tolerate the noted deficiencies. The combination of prime location and affordable pricing compensates somewhat for the shortcomings in amenities...
Read moreI arrived on 12 th of march after flying over from europe. I spent the day exchanging money, had a tour around Asuncion, had dinner, and afterwards I just wanted to sleep. But sleeping is a no go in this hotel, because there is this bar Acuarela on the top, where the swimming pool is. And they play music so load, that the walls are shaking. I went up there to complain, but the music up there is so load, that you have to stick the finger in yout ears, and nobody understands you or wants to understand you anyway. I was really, really tired, but the basses were too loud. I tried to relax, but how can you relax with basses imitating fast heart beats. I hoped the music would stop at 12.00 o clock, but it did not. Then I hoped it would stop at 1.00 o clock, but it did not. Then I hoped, it would stop at 3 o clock, but the music went on and on even harder than before. The discjockey probably is deaf. At 5 o clock I finally gave up hope, and got up, as I had to leave the hotel at 8 o clock anyway. Eventually I went down to have breakfast, where the next disappointment waited for me: No breakfast buffet at all, but just one waiter, you have to wait for. Eventually he finds the time to ask you what kind of coffee you want. And then you have to wait again, and all you get is a very small breakfast ( 1 small croissant, 1 slice of cheese, 1 slice of ham, jam and your coffee). Conclusion: Go somewhere else if you want to enjoy a good night s sleep. Avoid this hotel as it is not a hotel but...
