Don’t get the brunch Paraguayan. French toast with an insane amount of sugar in huge chunks feels like I’m eating a jawbreaker chunks. The bread was really good and the egg coating was nice and light but the insane amount of sugar ruined it. The scrambled eggs were cooked well but the bacon was the saltiest thing I’ve had in a long time. The French fries? Not really sure what those were but they were good if they weren’t French fries. If that was supposed to be a French fry then it was dry and strange.
Sadly the espresso also wasn’t good. Always painful to see a 10,000$ commercial espresso machine and a bad shot.
Maybe the other items here are good. I’ll try some other stuff and make another review.
Service was great. The guy was really trying to do his best and offered to speak in English after he heard my broken Spanish haha.
Anyone that’s a foreigner and complaining about prices is an idiot. Everything here is half the price of any equivalent restaurant in North America.
edit. Don’t order the Cesar salad. It wasn’t a Cesar salad I don’t know what it was.
Also I forgot to mention the atmosphere. Very beautiful place to sit and read. Mate was good. I actually sat here reading for like 7 hours so I would recommend it for that and maybe read reviews for other good dishes. I’d just avoid the Brunch Paraguayan and ensalada César. Go somewhere else in centro if you want a good espresso. I don’t think I’ll go back but I would reccomend going just to say you’ve been...
Read moreMy husband and I wanted to have a nice breakfast today. But unfortunately everything went wrong and they did not even apologize for their mistakes. First of all the 2 waitresses said that inside all the tables were full, so we sat at the entrance outside. But for all the other couples who came later, they offered places inside after waiting a bit. My husband waited like over 30 min for his coffee, my juice was served. We has to remind the waitress. When we ordered our breakfast we showed in the menu to the waitress what we order, just in case and we definitely said “sin jamon”. After approx 45 min the breakfast was served, but we definitely did not order a Sandwich with Bacon :-/. We ordered the Paraguay Brunch “sin jamon”. After I ate my breakfast like 40 min later again we canceled the breakfast for my husband but suddenly they could serve the Paraguay brunch BUT with bacon. We paid everything but my husband could not eat anything and he left the full plate there. It’s sad that they could not even apologize. Sorry but I cannot recommend that...
Read moreThe food are the most delicious in paraguayan dish. My top 2nd Mbeju, excellent canasta de bocaditos típicos. I always recommend that to my foreign friends to get to know a wide variety of paraguayan small bites in. Aloha is very very refreshing, which is lemon and miel de caña (I think) smoothie. Ciabatta, omg! Club sandwich, yum! Overall the food are excellent!! However, the coffee can be better. Cocido was always excellent. The last time I went something changed, it was excellent, now is good. Hopefully, they get their old recipe back. If you are in rush, this is not the right place vuz it does take a bit too long to get your food. If you are in group (4+) it's also not a very recommend place as their table are kind small and the only big one in the back yard are always occupied. On hot weather, if you are ok with nature, that is excellent place. But if you are like me, sweat a lot, then be prepared. The space is a bit crowded, for my taste. Therefore, their tables are a bit too small too, in my opinion. But, it is still one of my...
