Spent the night in hotel. Have to admit that location is top. Not even 10 minutes walking from centre and all major city activities. |Rooms are as clean as I want them to be. |Breakfast was buffet style grab what you want. But the juice was truly pleasent surprise. |Nonetheless have to emphasize friendly staff. From which Frank and Nadhia truly left the mark. Had a bit of tensions with Alvaro, general manager. Since the entrance ring bell did not work. Effectively locking me outside hotel, screaming for entrance. Yet, imagine, the same night there were porter opening me entrance doors. Read moreI stayed at Los Tambos Colonial in Arequipa as part of my trip through Peru. While checking out, I accidentally left my rain jacket and a book in the wardrobe of the hotel room. A few hours later, I called the hotel to ask about them. They told me they had found the book, but not the jacket.
This was very disappointing, as I am 100% sure I left the jacket there. My travel companion also remembers this clearly. Unfortunately, it seems someone from the staff must have taken it.
It’s really a shame to have this kind of experience in such a beautiful hotel. I hope the management takes this seriously and ensures that all lost items are handled with integrity...
Read moreThe hotel is well located in the historic center. The staff is super helpful and nice. Good breakfast in the morning. |However the rooms let the hotel down. We were in 2 doubles on the ground floor. Both where outdated and would deserve some fresh paint and furniture. One of them was very small with barely space to move (102). The light was blinking and although the staff nicely came twice and it improved it, continued to blink. Knowing you have only one bed lamp, this is not very confortable to read :)|Compared to other hotels we have done so far in Perou this...
