Kon Tiki Bungalows — Hotel in Máncora

This place is nice if you have a car. Otherwise after a great day at the beach the walk back up the hill will be hot and sweaty and you'll feel like you were never at the beach. The place is very cute though and has amazing views. However, there was no WiFi in the rooms and the common area with WiFi wasnt close to our room so kind of incontinent, especially when I use WiFi for work. The common area was beautiful though and had amazing views. |We were in a small house type thing and although it had a kitchen turning on the stove was a staftey hazard, the pots were broken or moudly and one of the bedrooms didn't have electricity so they had to run a able from outside letting bugs in at night ans meaning the room wasn't so locked and secure. |In these places you have to expect mosquito's and things but there were an, insane amount here and moths too. We moved to another place in town after two nights. It was much more comfortable, had mosquito's but not so many other bugs and a proper kitchen. So for the view it's worth it or maybe in one of the bungalows they are in better condition ans closer to the WiFi but I wouldn't recommend staying in the...

Fascinating location, on top of a hill overlooking the beach. The beach is a ten minute walk away. You have a steep climb in order to get there, but lovely views. The walk there seemed safe but was a little intimidating at night. ||||The double room with shared bathroom was nice however we encountered a few creatures...a scorpion, a few lizards and a lot of mosquitoes. Also it was very hot in the room with only a fan. An improvement would be to add a mosquito net over the bed and a screen for the door to allow the room to cool without letting the insects in. ||||Nice staff at reception and it was quiet while we were there. The bathrooms need to be cleaned more mainly due to insects and they need soap. The shower is just a tiny drip of water, but I think that's due to water shortages. ||||Overall, good value for the area and a basic...

Very beautiful place. Very good view. They have a good kitchen. The bungalo is very big and comfortable. There is no hot water(like most of mancora) but its ok because its very sunny during the day(a bit hot in the sun, cold in the shadow). The wifi is not very good but people told us its in all mancora like this(if you like to see Series download before). The place is on a mountain so be ready to clime like a 4 minutes(google maps is not right you can arrive very fast from the main street with a stairs). You can get much better prices without booking...
