Nothing but bother dealing with these guys, if you want a smooth easy stay find somewhere else. So much miscommunication between the staff nobody new what was going or their policies and one guy just had a consistent bad attitude and treated us badly. I've been traveling a long time and stayed in a lot of hotels, this is only the second time I have felt compelled to leave a negative review because the experiences I have had with this property were just such a hassle.
Some examples: Bait and switch: sending pictures of one room and then giving us different room that was not what we agreed to nor worth the price. Advertising as dog friendly, accepting our reservation after we checked about the dog, and then not wanting the dog on the property. When we arrived the room wasn't ready, we waited and were shown a much smaller, darker, lesser room. We tried to make a reservation at the on-site salon but a male worker wouldn't allow us to walk across the common area with the dog (the same common area we had been in for hours waiting) - he even said he was calling the police on me for having the dog... this was confusing for a place that advertises as dog friendly and knowingly accepted our reservation with a dog. Turns out they don't even have a therapist in the salon, but they have the signs indicating that it is open.
The hotel is situated on the main road and the loudest part of town. Lack of consistency with what they say and what they do plus the irate male staff member means I...
Read more🌟✨ Hello, fellow adventurers! ✨🌟 I adore Peru’s magic, but our “Superior Family Room” experience was anything but superior – more like a pint-sized pond skimmed by a plastic duck! Here’s the sunny scoop:
Bait-and-Switch Bonanza – Promised a dreamy river view & relaxing bathtub? Received a shoebox room without either. – Staff sheepishly admitted after putting us in the wrong room they’d given our room away, even though Booking.com had it locked in.
Llama “Gifts” Gone Wild – Instead of a pristine garden, we found piles of llama droppings (owner calls them “Paco’s masterpieces”). Yuck! Microscopic “Compensation” – Owner’s response insists we “never stayed or paid,” yet they offered a whopping a discount for two nights – barely enough for a single alpaca biscuit! Signed, Sealed… Disrespected – We secured a written, no-cancellation-fee promise to escape this circus, then sprinted to a real hotel.
Despite the proprietor’s grumpy claims, our Booking.com confirmation and signed note prove we were bona fide guests—and definitely not freeloaders! This tiny “partial refund” and blame-shifting only sparkle in the realm of absurdity. If you cherish your time, money, and nasal passages, skip this spot and enjoy Peru without surprise droppings or room roulette. Safe...
Read moreThere are no kitchen facilities at all - booking.com said there was a kitchen, so does trip advisor. The kitchen has been turned into a laundry room. ||||Also, the weirdest thing. There was a group in the common area in the garden when we arrived, at first we thought it was a group of friends on holiday. It turned out to be a work experience group at chaska for 2 months. Most times we tried to sit in the common comfy area of the garden we often had to move, unless you wanted to sit in the middle of a (loud) classroom.||||It’s not the groups fault, they were lovely, I think the teachers need to realise that people have paid to stay at Chaska and want a holiday! I found it rude and it made me and my friend feel uncomfortable - and we are not super fussy people, we just wanted to chill out. There is a big space indoors that they could use to speak to their students. ||||Plus side, the garden is really lovely, the beds are really comfy, location is great - right next to the collectivos too. Staff...
