I LOVE THIS PLACE !! La ruta del sabor is my favorite. Since getting to Pisac in January, I’ve had some stomach problems so went to a limited diet of pretty much fish, meat, organ meat it I can find it, broccoli, asparagus and greens. So I’ve been limited in my choices of food. I’m not complaining because la Ruta food is sooooo delicious. I order antichucho de corazón, almost every day. I’ve also tried the alpaca, the chicken, the beef antichucho (which is a typical Peruvian dish not on their menu). It’s the best meat I think I’ve ever had. Melts in your mouth. They are so great- they have worked with me for over a month to make me food that my stomach agrees with, and their vegetables are always fresh and perfectly streamed.
I’d also highly recommend the aji de gallina, - amazing flavors, the rosemary chicken breast - wow how they infuse the rosemary in here is amazing, the alpaca steak, the lomo saltado and their kinsa cocha snobbish trout - if you like olives.
I’d like to still try the honey chicken some day and their tenderloin bon bons.
Highly recommend - I bring everyone here :)
Update: I’ve tried their honey chicken - that sauce is amazing, and the bon bons, which I added extra veggies too because it comes with a...

Read moreWow, we were absolutely blown away by this seemingly hole in the wall restaurant. You actually have to walk through a tiny shop and up a flight of stairs to find it, thought I promise you, the journey is worth it.
The atmosphere alone is cozy, cute, and welcoming. The service was amazing. When we ordered our food, I was about to order one of the vegetarian options, when our waitress stopped me. She said, if you’re vegetarian, I have a special something I’ll bring you that’s not on the menu, but it is very delicious.
WOW was she right. Whatever she brought me, was out of this world amazing. Loaded with vegetables and deliciously sautéed mushrooms (they tasted like steak to me!), and quinoa. Mmmmm. My boyfriend got one of the alpaca dishes. We also tried the Pisac sours and the creamy vegetable soup.
While this place is a little pricier than the local joints we usually eat at, it was a wonderful treat after a long day of traveling. I recommend that you at least have one meal in Pisac at this amazing spot, though I must warn you, after one meal you’ll likely be tempted to have them...
