EColodge Ccatan — Hotel in Urubamba

This hostel is far from fancy but it has everything you need. It is away from the noise but not too far ( just a seven minute cab ride to the middle of town), it was clean, my second floor room had a nice view of the green areas, and of far away mountains. Most, importantly, it has a great host, Yami, Yami took amazing care of my husband when he got sick our first night there. She gave him some special herb and did a shamanistic ritual which incredibly worked. She did this at no extra charge. He went to sleep within seconds and woke up the next day like new. Yami also assisted with calling cabs who charged less than most people who we hailed on the street. The only drawback, I would say is that even though the property itself is well lit, the unpaved road leading there isn't. Since we are traveling with a small child, we were frightened at first and made sure we never got back too late. However, after spending sometime there, we quickly started to feel more comfortable. You can definitely feel that you are not in a big town here. Doors are left wide open, people in the cabs return your phone which you forgot in the back of the cab. It is a nice place, not corrupted yet. My daughter happily played in the garden with all the cats and dogs and with Yami's very handsome son. One of the dogs who always walked us up to wait for our cabs was nicknamed Senor Woof Woof. I highly recommend it, a good value for the money. this way you have more spending money. CCATAN Home from Home||||We stayed 3 nights at Eco Lodge CCATAN which is in a residential area on the outskirts of Urubamba. We much appreciated the tranquility of this lovely guest house and the very warm welcome from Yami. Infact Yami was very helpful throughout our stay and we thoroughly enjoyed the generous breakfasts and delicious dinners, both by arrangement. Yami also recommended a very capable and knowledgeable driver, Ruben, to visit the nearby places of interest Chincheros, Moray and Maras. This is a place for those who seek peace, medicine work, and a chance to meet interesting travellers. |The hosts are truly wonderful human beings and they made our time here special because of their kindness and attention to our comfort. It really is like being a part of an extended family. |There is s shared kitchen area which is a great place to relax and plan while Yami makes food and does it all so effortlessly and happily. |The rooms are clean and lovely. And guess what? Best hot showers in Peru. Beautiful rural location but easy to get to Urubamba for meals and more....|This is a beautiful part of the world.
