I was looking to get outside bustling Cusco and found this lovely place! The owners of the homestay advised me to take the local bus to Urubamba, which only costs 6 soles and takes 1,5 hours. I arrived and was warmly greeted by Joanne and Keith. It was a real pleasure to get to stay in their lovely home after some intensive travelling in Bolivia and Peru. The homestay has all equipments needed, and the breakfast is great! Also, the nature around Urubamba is amazing!||Funny enough, I mentioned to Keith and Joanne that I was trying to go to Machu Picchu, but found all the arranged tours too expensive. Turns out that Keith and Joanne arrange a very affordable two day tour by BUS (!). No need to take the expensive train. Joan and Keith are the absolute perfect hosts and went out of their way to make my wife and me welcome. They are very knowledgable about the entire area and gave us very good info on where to go.
