We booked 6 room for 12 travelers, on a 13 day adventure for two nights. At first glance the hotel ( old Monastery) is beautiful and a lot to see, the court yard was beautiful, the bar was cozy. the rooms where nostalgic. The doors to each of the rooms do not close properly, the rooms only had two electrical outlets, one behind the bed ( no access) and one across the from the bed. So if you where to need to charge your electronics you had to put it on a chair ( Stained) One of our travelers found bugs in the bed and had to change it.
The bathrooms do not have shower curtain so water goes every where. The showers need attention as ours had black mold be the base
Breakfast starts early, and staff does not restock it often, They will make eggs to order.
Staff stays to them selves, If you wanted a glass of wine in the bar you had to ask receptionist to do it.
Location, there is nothing around this hotel.
They do have llamas on site...
Read moreIt was a special experience spending time in this 400 years old Monastery they've turned into a hotel. The lobby has a piano that my son loved playing. The restaurant had a local performer sing and play his instruments just for our family during dinner. Breakfast was good. Had fresh fruit, fruit juice, kefir, cheese, cereal, eggs/omelette, meat, breads etc. There is a beautiful old church on the property. Rooms are arranged around a courtyard with trees and plants. The lobby looks onto another courtyard with a fountain in the middle. There is a games room with a pool table etc., and a tea station outside it. Everywhere you go in Peru, they offer Muña tea, which is kind of like thyme- heals any...
Read moreI really enjoyed my stay at this hotel in Peru. The place is beautiful, unique, and very pleasant – being a former monastery makes the experience even more special. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of variety, and the rooms were spotless, with very comfortable beds.||The only downside was that the minibar in our room was not working (the receptionist explained that several minibars had the same issue). This was inconvenient since we had bought items that needed refrigeration. Another small drawback is that the hotel does not provide complimentary bottled water in the rooms, which would have been a nice touch.||Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely...
