Truly subpar at best. Ceviche was extremely tough, like rubber. Meat was mostly cold and overcooked. Sauces were too sweet. Quinoa bread was... nothing? Even the sweet potato was somehow flavorless. This felt like a mill, just rotating people in and out fast to maximize profits. It reminded me of a typical buffet in the Midwest of the US. Giant cafeteria style eatery.
80 per person. Extremely expensive, even by tourist standards.
Music was exceptionally loud, making it impossible to converse. Atmosphere felt like a bad attempt at making tourists feel at home. Why would I come to Peru to experience Chicago suburban eating culture?
Go to a local place with zero tourists. If you have a tour guide, ask them to take you somewhere special.
EDIT: I am amending this review simply to state the owner who replied is incorrect and attempting to gaslight visitors into believing my review is for another restaurant. They objectively had the items I mentioned. It is a fact, not a misstatement.
Good luck...
Read moreDefinitely not a restaurant for a romantic dinner, but if your tour takes you to lunch to the Inka Casona, you have nothing to complain about. The quality of the food is very good and being buffet style quantity is not an issue and you get to try many different dishes of the Peruvian cuisine that you might be curious about without having to "commit" to a full portion if you are not sure you are going to like roasted guinea pig or trout ceviche, to name but a couple. The variety of food offered is significant and everyone will be able to find something they like, even vegetarians (and in Peru this is not always a given). Being a buffet makes it also so much faster and more efficient and you can easily have a very satisfying lunch in 40-45 minutes, which is very important when your day is full of tightly packed activities and every minute counts before you take the train to...
Read moreOne of the best places we went to eat around Cusco. Located in sacred valley, this place has all you need to experience including a great collection of foods in a rich and generous buffet, a beautiful setting and an amazing live music. Very good place to try traditional starters, meals and dessert in Peru, all in one location and a great quality. Don't forget to order juice too. Juice with food is a must in any restaurant in Peru. The music was so good. We bought the cd. The guy was covering all famous music pieces with Andean instruments. Really enjoyed the vibe. Staff are so polite, supportive, and professional. Strongly recommend this place to whoever wants to enjoy food, culture and a good atmosphere at...
