El HornitoRinco Café — Restaurant in Urubamba

When I came to El Hornito Rinco Café, I hoped for some delicious treats as I am a foodie with a sweet tooth. I found them! Maga's lemon pie, brownie, marvelous cheesecakes with different toppings - were just as sweet and good as her personality and company! Salty snacks such as empanadas or toasts as well took my heart, and let's not forget about good coffee and tea!

The best hidden gem of urubamba, in my experience. Don’t miss it!! Beautiful atmosphere, superb host and dangerously good baked goods. The best carrot cake I’ve ever tasted in my life, no exaggeration. A wide choice of cakes, and excellent chocolatines, savoury empanadas were also on offer. The cafe is a little bit out of the way and has a humble appearance (can be hard to see) but absolutely worth a visit. Perfect to combine with a walk up to the ruins Qerokancha perched above (~30min +/- to reach by a nice walking route...

A really nice spot, beautifully decorated with art by the owner. I tried today a tasty sweet, a cheesecake with passion fruit and mango. It was the perfect portion. I didn’t try any food or coffee, but the owner was so kind to help me clean up a spill I made in my bag with the container that leaked. This is a gem of a place. They make...
