Terrible service, slow and with bad attitude. Food was good and they accomplish great dishes with local ingredients but it was very difficult to enjoy due to the poor service.
There are AMAZING restaurants in Urubamba and surroundings. Don’t waste your time here.
We were a group of 12. The reservation was made weeks before, still when we arrived they broke our table in two. They were able to put them together but with an air of superiority we were told that was not possible for some unknown reason.
My father asked for a Coke, they told us they only had home made sodas with an air of superiority because they did not used commercial brands and recited the beer brands they dis not sold. They said this but the fridge was Pilsner branded, which they did not sell. This only showed the low moral fiber and conviction to the supposed values of the place.
When we made the reservation they forced us to pre-order. This was tough because we had to commit to what we ordered weeks before, but in theory worth it because it was going to be ready when we arrived. Food came out 1 hour after our first round of drinks, and all at the same time so some dishes went cold before I was able to try them. Impressive the low professionalism of this place even though the Manager, maybe owner was there trying to coordinate.
Then the waitress came to ask us about desserts in a hurry. She had not even showed us the dessert menu. One after another poor service display
In the end I made my best to enjoy myself but it turned out they did not accepted credit cards. Even though the card holder was branded American Express. I am OK if a small place with budget type food does not accept credit card but this was just offensive. Earlier in the market I was able to pay with credit card in the market. It was just another way the owner of the place showed how little it cared about the customer.

Read moreA great experience with excellent service and great tasting food...sadly punctuated by food poisoning that almost ruined Machu Picchu for us. I really wanted to give this place a good review, but the two days my wife and I paid for trying alpaca meat wasn't worth it. We met others on our journey as well that suffered the same illness from this place. I wouldn't post a review of this nature unless I was certain, but there is no doubt it came from here. Trip Advisor confirms this place is amazing but also has similar cases to ours, which only accentuates the fact the management here really needs to identify and address the issues that seem to occasionally lead to...
Read moreThe atmosphere and service were wonderful. I have mixed feeling about the food though. The complimentary bread with olives and chimichurri was great! As an app I ordered the crispy mushroom empanaditas which I enjoyed but the veggies at the bottom were salty so I couldn’t eat the cheese dip with it bc it was salty also (blue cheese). For main I ordered the vegetable curry which was just ok. They put in a lot of onions as a filler veggie. Why I have mixed feelings about this place was bc it gave me diarrhea :( and I have been eating at many different places around the sacred valley daily for over a month and...
