This is an overall good place to stay.I was a bit harsh initially on my review and am fixing it. I gave it three stars, but could easily be 4-4.5 for most folks.
The good: The hotel is pretty new. There were a few maintenance issues in the room, but nothing too bad. Also, staff is very friendly. They did not fail to take care of anything I asked for, and housekeeping staff were helpful and did a good job cleaning the room. Plus there is a restaurant in the lobby. The food we had from there was good, and they were always quick to bring ice to the room when I asked for it.
The bad: The queen rooms are a little bit on the small side, so would recommend the larger king room if you need space. The hotel is on a very busy street, and the street noise makes it was up to even the 4th floor. I just kept the TV on so it was not a huge issue for me. However, if you are sensitive to noise, it may be an issue. The other thing we noticed is the rooms on the 4th floor got a bit hot during the day. I believe the roof is metal, so it gets a bit hot up there, even with the AC on. I bet on the lower floors its not an issue. Also the pool pump went down while we were there. If you really want to swim, they will point you to a sister property to do so.
Otherwise its a pretty good place to stay and I would recommend you...
Read moreI’ve stayed here twice before and overall found it to be a pretty straightforward hotel. The rooms are modern, the beds were comfortable, and the pool — while a decent size — is right in the middle of the property. Because of its location, anyone passing through the hotel, or even dining in the restaurant beside it, can easily watch you swim. Not exactly ideal if you’re after privacy.
Breakfast is plated (not buffet), which was fine, but nothing particularly memorable. Parking is a real issue — there are less than 10 car slots available on-site, which isn’t enough for a hotel of this size.
On a recent booking, I requested a refund but wasn’t able to get one, and it ended up being marked as a no-show. That was disappointing and left me with a sour impression after otherwise okay stays.
Overall, the hotel works if you just need a clean, modern room and a comfortable bed, but there are definitely limitations in parking, pool privacy, and booking flexibility. Will I come back? Maybe — but only if I don’t find a better...
Read moreA truly wonderful hotel to stay in while in Angeles. The price is very reasonable. The location is accessible to everything one may need, and the staff are without a doubt, the best team in Angeles. Friendly, polite, kind and always willing to help at any time. Every single employee made my stay absolutely wonderful. Edward, Jay, Lorna, JR, and everyone else there, are truly fantastic, hard working and honest people who I'm proud to call my new found friends. Yes, sometimes the pool area can be a little noisy, but that's from other inconsiderate selfish guests and not the fault of the hotel. It's a minor issue really. Speaking as a lifetime facilities manager, I would say the hotel could do with a full-time maintenance person to iron out a few of the minor room maintenance issues that some other guests have mentioned. That would be the only thing the hotel needs to raise it 4 or 5 star. The bottom line is, if you're looking for a great place to stay in Angeles. This is it. Thank you to everyone there....
