Kahea's Lodge — Hotel in Baler

My friends and I stayed here for two nights to attend a wedding. Our room capacity was 8 persons. The room was relatively new, with two large double decked beds, a fully functioning air conditioning system, a tv, and a small bathroom (no heated plumbing though).||||The hotel is also nicely situated by the beach, and is within walking distance to many of the bars and other establishments along the coastline.||||The staff was pretty accommodating (e.g. allowed us to check in at 3 in the morning, let us borrow a clothes iron and towels, etc.). ||||However, one downside to our stay was that the lodge served no food, but allowed guests to cook their own meals on a grill (which meant we had to take our meals elsewhere). Also, our room at the ground floor (room number 2) was situated in front of the staff house and grill, so if the smell would be a problem for you i suggest that you get another room.||||It was also quite difficult to book a room with them (we booked ours through travelbook), but a quick google search will yield their mobile number. There's also no wifi at the lodge, but then again, mobile data connections in Baler are pretty sketchy, with some areas having little to no signal at all. ||||I'm afraid i can't provide a nice review of their surfing amenities as we didn't have time to surf, but most establishments in Baler offer board rentals and surfing classes.||||Overall, this is a nice midrange establishment to stay in, albeit for larger groups such as ours. Based on what I've seen of the other establishments in Baler, there are accommodations that will suit a range of budgets, and its important to do...

The mobile number they had on the google ads are not ok. We booked at agoda and we read all the information we need but they missed one thing and they dont give any support. We are at the border and we are shocked about the requirements on the border we are missed inform about it and we cannot refund nor cancelled our booking because they are lack of any means of communication. I hope they provide good information and email each customer what they need so they will not missed their trip to the location. I feel I was been scam this is the only time I dont feel safe going any where from Baler and this place they dont treat customer as a valuable consumer. Even on the border I feel scam specially when I said to them I booked on this place I feel something is wrong. My family has been a going back to Baler every now and then for the past 3 years, we tried other lodgings before but Kahea's has been the best so far. We stayed 2x already :) My kids learned to surf from one of their lady instructors, a daughter of the owner. They also provide surf boards and other surfing materials. Their rooms are spacious, catering to 2-8 ppl per room with own T&B and aircon. Some rooms have a tv, a small sala set, a dresser. They also have a mini-store where you could buy basic toiletries, coffee, softdrinks, alcoholic drinks and snacks. They also have a bbq grill which you can borrow and you can also rent their videoke machine. I say that their location is great because it's a beach front location and their surfing area is not rocky compared to the other areas of Sabang beach. I've been bringing my friends in this lodging for the past 2 years. Definitely staying...
