Green Glass Hotel — Hotel in Calamba

The place is really very different from the advertisement. My needs were basic: parking, quiet, clean, and near a grocery or mall; since I only needed a place to sleep. The hotel was only able to meet 1 of my 4 in this stay.

1. Parking is outside the “hotel.” It’s a street corner so theres a lot of foot traffic. There’s a guard on duty, but the place still didn’t feel safe.
2. The bed is located next to the wall to the hallway and near the door. You can hear people talking outside the hallway and there are times you can hear the noise from the passing vehicles outside the building. Also, when you step out of the room, you can hear all the “activities” happening in the other rooms.
3. The place looks old, unkept, and so worn out. A fresh paint can do a lot of wonders to this place.
4. Near grocery or mall. Proximity is about the only thing in my list that was satisfied. There’s a 711 and McDonalds in the building.

I stayed in a superior room. There was wifi, cable, split type airconditioning, a safe, queen sized bed. The room didn’t have any windows.

I’ve had my share of hotels and other types of accommodations; I know 1600php can go a long way if you know where to look. There are definitely better places out there for the same price with better rooms...

Despite being located in a convenient spot, the price is too expensive for a room that’s lacking everything.||||-no water heater. I showered and almost froze.||-no free toiletries. Just a sachet of shampoo and a tiny soap. Not even a conditioner and toothpaste sachet.||-the bathroom in my room had some sort of moulds and was filthy to use. ||-the blanket was too thin. It couldn’t keep me warm enough.||-most of all, the noise from huge rats and baby mice from the ceiling woke me up at night. These rats would ran around on top of my room on the ceiling and they just wouldn’t stop!||-the aircon was noisy.||-not even a disposable slippers for this room price.||-i called them to reserve a parking slot, gave the reception my car details because their parking is limited and in an inconvenient turn from the road. I kept honking my horn but their security guard was holed inside behind the stairs and I was already causing traffic, he still didn’t remove the barricade in the parking slot.||-and oh, the guard is almost always missing from his spot so I’m not sure how secured the hotel is. Basically anyone can just enter the building and use the elevator or stairs going to the 2F.||||For a room that’s so basic, the price is more expensive than...

As a Westerner, I needed a centrally located hotel and this was the ideal choice and, I wasn't disappointed. After a speedy check-in, we were shown to our room which was immaculate, I choose to upgrade to a Deluxe room as I was staying for eleven nights, so the fridge, microwave, and extra space was much appreciated. ||||My room was located on the third floor close to the elevator which you could not hear from inside the room. This town never sleeps so if you are overlooking the main street it can be noisey so all you light sleepers may need some earplugs, as for me it was not a problem.||||The staff here will go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible, with any request (Towels, water, or even toilet paper) at your room door with a smile in minutes.||||Would I stay here again???
