Ding-Hao Chinese Cuisine — Restaurant in Calamba

Food is good, nothings special. Atmosphere and ambiance if you come by from time to time you will find it the same as last years. As for the service, we ate today here for my birthday, the same time as last years but this time it was highly disappointing. If you came here around 7-8pm please initiate to ask their closing time, as they still accept customer by that time and close by 8:30. We arrived at 8pm and they ask for how many diners and I said 7 and led us to the table, without advise when will they close. We sit there and order while we are still waiting for my father to arrived from work. After 15mins the food was served and we ate while my father still on his way. At exact 8:28 they ask how far my father since they will have to close by 8:30 and to our dismay we all stop eating as we are still waiting for my father to arrived and we are just 15mins in eating, not even a half in our food. I pay for 6k plus and all the service charge that comes with it, didnt get the receipt even. How come we pay this much to only sit there and eat for less than 30 minutes. We even ask if they can just wait for my father and let him eat first before we pay and we even show the video we took last year showing that we dine the same hour until 9:30pm because to our knowledge they closed 10pm but the owner insist that they have to close as soon as possible. If this is how you run your business, accepting customers you can’t serve well, having them pay thousands for the food they dont finish eating then goodluck to the business, world has a way to get back to you. This resteraunt is not advisable as a daytime dinning experince. In the dark of evening hours..maybe or a after a good slug of your favorite alcohol. One...the decor too blitzy, too wedding no err of chinese at all.. Glass windows for walls are very awkward with refections of people and movement. Two...table cloths which haven't been washed. Our plates and wine glasses up side down on the dirty cloth. After first being seated and brushing away calamansi seeds with crumbs.. The ground in food and stains were just too much filth to eat on... We moved to another table but were greated by a simular state. The waitress came and directed us back to our original table...silverware was dirty and glasses covered in calcium deposits. After ordering we finally received our appetiser of mushroom soup 45 minutes later. The food was good but ample beyond necessity.. We inquired before ordering each dish but were told enough for two... I could easily feed a family of four...will I...

This is my family's favorite restaurant when it come to fine dining since 2007. Foods before are delicious and would definitely entice you to come back. Sad to say that when we had our business lunch last month, all the foods are way below the average taste. Not to exagerrate but fast foods taste better. Maybe they are affected by the pandemic and had a different chef. I am hoping that they will fix this matter. Another concern is that they wont let us get inside the premises without faceshield but their staff and guards only wears mask. Like come on! Get straight with your protocols.
