I really wanted to like Naps X Adventures. A small guest hostel, had a friendly front desk and was not too far from the central area of town or Ayala Mall. Really cheap price as well. I thought I had hit the jackpot after reading the reviews and seeing photos online. But the "room" they put me in was one of the worst hostel experiences I have had. I was in room 206 (I think), which is frankly not really a place where one could relax or sleep. The room had two walls of full windows that faced the street - and one huge blue (and moldy/dusty) patched curtain that wrapped all the way around to cover for light. But the street in front of the hotel was so busy and the windows so thin, I could hear everything. I arrived at 2 am and didn't sleep all night because of the constant noise. Even with my noise cancelling headphones I couldn't sleep. After a couple of hours, I booked another hotel and had to leave. I am sure other rooms are much better, but this unit was completely not habitable. Overall the room was not nice or that clean either, but that was fine. It was really the moldy curtain and the non-stop noise from the street. What a bummer. I would avoid and find other...
Read moreWhat made me book this place was the price and the look of the place based on photographs. It's hard to miss the place because all you will see is a small entry way and small sign on the side that says Naps x Adventure. When we got to the hostel, we climbed up a narrow staircase to the second floor registration area. There was a nicely styled common area but the tv there was broken, you can't watch tv properly. Aside from that, the sofa was moist and it didn't feel too clean.||Pros:|We were placed in the third floor.|1. The room was quaint with a nice looking headboard.|2. the one pillow per bed was soft|3. there were movable square chairs you can convert into a side table|4. I saw a mouse that ran into our room. I had to shoo it to go away. |2. Shower had no heater.|3. Blanket was too thin to keep us warm.|4. After locking our door, we tried to open it using the key and it wouldn't open. Staff tried to fix it but we encountered the same problem again even after they gave us a nee key. The knob...
Read moreHad an enjoyable stay in the dorm was just over 700 pesos for two nights beds we're comfortable and lots of sofas to chill out on. Staff were friendly and helpful. |Only negative was the old air conditioning which was very loud so not ideal for a light sleeper. If coming from the airport just get the bus for 25pp then a cab from the terminal should be less then 100pp.|If you want to go canyoneering it's easy to do by yourself we got the bus from the south bus station for 160pp for aircon bus took 3 hours think buses go hourly, then we went canyoneering with freedom adventures it was really fun cost 1500pp for two of us and 1 guide. We then flagged down the bus and headed back to town for 145pp as we got dropped closer to town rather then the falls was easy and way better then paying a Cebu company I was quoted 7000pp from one whilst we did it independently for less then 2000. |When leaving to Bohol we just went to the ferry port pier 1 and got oceonjet for 450pp just turned up on the day and...
