Poor service, as we came in the restaurant the lady server/receptionist just passed by where we asked for table good for 2. We are just waiting for the response if they are looking for a place for us but suddenly ended up asking again if they have available seats. We tried to asked in the cashier area if they have available table then she answered yes but no guidance what table we can be able to seat. We are asking again to the server that we’re going to dine in good for 2. (The restaurant is not so busy.)

As we ordered our food no one get our attention, there were lots of available server standing on the cashier area. So I stand up and go in front of the cashier and manually informed the cashier lady about our ordered food. After 10minutes there are Indian National togther with Filipino family dine together. They ordered so late but it was served first - very apparent no reservation for menu. The food was served after 30mins so the other table ate first before us where we came and ordered earlier. As we finished eating our main course we are asking for the dessert to be served we checked the time it was 12:45PM and I do 2nd follow up after 1:00PM in front of the cashier and the lady informing that it was prepared then we’re waiting for another 6 mins to serve our dessert. Until I lost my patience. This restaurant is not recommendable - poor management, worst customer service, cherry picking of customer attention and not friendly.

KINDLY TAKE NOTE FOR THIS FEEDBACK!! KUYA J’s SM CEBU management!

The food was good, affordable and served big portions of it. The price of the individual dish was not that expensive as we say but not that cheap as well. We wen there Friday afternoon and we were just next to a family that was on the wait list. So first impression was good.

Service: If you wanna try and eat here. Make sure that you're not that hungry. Because the problem is that if they are really busy, they tend to forget who went in first and who should they take orders first. I thought I was the only one who've noticed it but as I read the old reviews here, some of their waiters are just standing there and doing nothing. We really have to wait for a few minutes for them to look at us and wave at them and the food really comes late.

FOOD: We had a lot of orders because you know, we ant to try as many dishes as we can. I can say is that their sinuglaw (Grilled pork steak and vinegar cooked raw fish) was the tasted that stand out and we did expect to be really good. We had Pochero, Lechon kawali and Pork ribs that are so so.. in taste. Careful with ordering their 109php worth of halo halo coz it is very huge and kinda sticky.

Cream soup was not out of the ordinary and a beef calderita that tasted above the ordinary.

Since it was a bad customer service so that's a deduction of a star and would have given four, The experience, the expectation versus reality was not balanced because because the horrible reality was heavier that why I rated it 3 stars.

I hope they can improve...

Very long serving time: Around 25/35 minutes for our food to be prepared and served, this was not our first time here so this was more than usual. But they gave us complementary snacks to make up for the waiting time.

Service: They were accommodating and explained the long wait, and the burnt rice. (They also gave us more burnt rice).

FOOD:

Kare2: Perfection. Premium sauce, a treat for my Tagala tongue. Chicken Sisig: Above Average. Was looking for their pork sisig but was unavailable. Chicken sisig is kinda mid. Scallops: Was good, a little salty for my preference. Pancit Canton: Was mid, nothing special about it , kinda looks a little bland (could’ve been the lighting tho) Lechon Kawali: Was peak. Crispy skin and tender meat, paired with Mang Tomas sauce. Leche Flan: Goated. I wish I knew their recipe, it’s that good. Ube Halo2: I’ve always like their signature halo2, would recommend to others and will definitely try again. Rice: Burnt, they told us their rice cooker broke and had to go back to the old ways.

Overall rating: Hope they fix their rice cooker problem, the scent and taste ruined the viands a little bit.

The crew were accommodating, they need a raise

Serving time has room improvement. It was rush hour so I get it. They also gave complementary snack, so that’s a plus.

I normally don't give 5 stars to restaurants because they are always "buts", but this restaurant is an exemption. I love the ambience, it's homey and welcoming. I don't get it why some people say they serve small (in terms of portion) but in all honesty, they're serving is much bigger than that of Rico's (freakishly expensive and over priced). The price to portion ratio for me is reasonable and the foods are really great! We dined here during my birthday and we ordered a handful of dishes and it didn't cost us 3k, unlike when my mom and I had lunch over at Rico's with only 3 putahes, we cashed out over 1k (shocks!) Anyway, you should order the Fried whole chicken, honestly it is the best chicken I have ever tasted. It's immaculate and I'm not over exaggerating it. The chorizo dynamite is literally a dynamite, really spicy though, and you have to order the renolyong talong, it is so good. Anyway, we ordered 2 servings for each and yet we only payed over 2k, we were actually shocked because we thought it would be like 4k. So in conclusion, this restaurant serves one of the best foods at a reasonable price. Happy eating!!
