East Holiday Resort — Hotel in Cebu

The ladies were so nice. They knew my name before I even checked in. The room was clean, air condition worked great, I had the WiFi outside of my room and was able to hold zoom meetings with little disruption. The breakfast was quick and easy and tasted good. My only issue was the bugs (two large spiders, a centipede, hugeeee cockroach, and a water bug), but that can’t be helped with staying in an outside hut. I was surprised the bathroom was technically outside. I felt uncomfortable using it the first few days because I could hear ppl talking behind me and smell cigarettes. The roosters were also a nice surprise. They make noise all day and night. I also didn’t realize there was no tv, but I was able to stream on the WiFi, with no issue. The bed was comfortable and clean. The location was excellent. Close to everything, but far enough away to not be bothered by noise, except the crickets...

Convenient location as it was just a 10-minute walk to dive centers.

Staff were friendly and their contact for trisikad (Den) was the most honest one we’ve hired — he was the only one who didn’t overcharge us.

Only downside was it was awkward to rearrange dates because I already booked for 2 nights but had to cancel and rearrange due to bad weather. It was difficult to do via Booking.com so I had to call the owner but we got there in the end and, overall, nice...

I stayed here for two nights and I loved my stay here. It is only a 5-10 min walk from the city centre and I loved how quiet and beautiful this accommodation was. It is very clean and the bathroom has natural light flowing in the day. The staff taking care of the space are so friendly and they will also arrange tuktuk for you cause it gets really dark with few to 0 street lamps. The breakfast is simple but it’s just nice.
