Emok's Guest House — Hotel in Cebu

I feel at home when in Moalboal staying at Emok's Guest House. It is clean and is very affordable for travellers on DIY. They have varieties of room accommodations for families, group travellers, team building groups,From Fans to Airconditioned Rooms.

My first impression here was during 2017 i am very sensitive to mosquito bites but during my stay i was directed to stay at their kiosk because Emok's was fullybooked and my guests were Taiwanese who took the last available room for them to stay overnight as all hotels in Moalboal that year were fully booked and being a tour operator driving our van the good personnel front office worker told me to stay at the Kiosk which is equiped with charger, fan for the convenience of the one who stay. I was impressed because i was not bitten by a single mosquito.

There are plenty of mosquitoes in the neighboring hotel as our Taiwanese guest wanted to transfer to the nearby hotel because they have check outs that day. Upon entry of the hotel premises the guest were welcomed by mosquitoes who exclaimed "oh! you have plenty of mosquitoes here!" the lady there also replied " yes we have plenty of mosquitoes here!" seems to me she was proud to have plenty.

Every room either it is fan or aircon they have hot and cold shower.

As i have said earlier they have mess hall and kitchen to prepare your own food for groups.

By the way Emok's is operated by husband and wife tandem who retired in goverment service as professors both of them Doctors of Education from the nearby Cebu...

Arrived to Emoks guest house with a great big friendly smile . The owner was bubbly and extremely friendly . After a very long commute traveling I felt just at home here at Emoks. The room and private suite were of a clean standard . Beds however are uncomfortable as it feels like you are sleeping on a board of wood . Complementary clean sheets towel and locker was a bonus . Emoks Bar is filled with a personal touch when the owner makes all the drinks for you himself . Upon checking out free ride to the bus stop was offered . Great place to stay if you are looking for a warm and welcoming atmosphere , not a party place , great if you just want to chill out on the hammocks in the peaceful garden and enjoy your own personal space ....

Arrived in the evening, one person sitting in the reseption didn't speak english, got the room, no introduction. ||Spent 3 nights, no restaurant or bar at all. People say that the owners are very nice and its welcoming place. Well, we saw no owners and there was no one anywhere, but the lady who doesnt speak english.. ||Good thing was that coffee and water was free, and you can just take toiletpaper or towels from the selfes in the common area. The place was always dead quiet. Rooms are basic guesthouse level. ||The place is abit far from everything, so you need to take a tricycle if you want to eat anything else...
