Junie Pension House — Hotel in Cebu

If you're looking for a place that feels like a mix of home and vacation, Junie Pension House is where it’s at! I stayed here during my Moalboal trip and honestly, it was one of the highlights of my time in Cebu.

First off, the staff? So kind, welcoming, and full of smiles. You don’t just check in—you’re greeted like an old friend. They even hosted a little gathering one night for the guests, with homecooked food and good vibes. Super thoughtful touches like that made the experience feel really special.

The rooms are simple, clean, and comfortable—perfect after a long day of snorkeling with sardines or chasing waterfalls. Air con worked great, the hot shower was strong (yes!), and I had everything I needed. Plus, it’s quiet at night, which meant deep, glorious sleep.

Location? Spot on. 🌴 Just a short walk to Panagsama Beach and all the restaurants and dive shops, but far enough to enjoy some peace away from the party scene.

rooms were spacious, exceptionally clean and showers were warm and powerful we had a delicious breakfast cooked for when we needed it (pre a day trip) and enjoyed the bar every evening (including karaoke) great WiFi, no power outages and unlimited drinking water available our canyoneering which was exceptional was so easy to book via the guesthouse location was very easy to get to the beach and main strip with everything you need. we were given a coffee liqueur every eve for free just because they’re legends very safe for any travellers

Then there’s Jane, Eric, staff and family, who made us feel at home everyday. By far our favourite accommodation across the Philippines (we’ve done a month and various locations) we had so much fun every eve whilst having everything we needed sorted for us.

We stayed here for over a week and it was perfect! The price was fair, the place was spotless, and the staff were friendly. People seemed to be perpetually cleaning and keeping the building tidy. Rooms were comfortable and, again, well maintained. Nice hot shower and cool air-con, quiet location, good wi-fi! The absolute cherry on top of our stay was being invited to a meal downstairs on xmas eve with the owners and staff, where a huge buffet had been prepared for everyone and beers were handed out for free! Probably the best meal we had in Moalboal in all honesty, and one of the nicest gestures of our time in the Philippines up to now. If you read this then thank you so much!
