This is my go-to hotel whenever in Davao City.||||Very attentive, delightful and courteous staff. Whenever I pick-up the phone and make a reservation, they actually remember who I am (guess it tells you how often I stay here). ||||Room is just right for business or pleasure, good/decent wi-fi connection in room; gets the job done (guess it matters if where your room is vis-a-vis where the router is... LOL). Clean sheets, enough space for your stuff, nice bathroom, love the bed and pillows, no problems with AC so far -- room is generally clean and well maintained. ||||Free breakfast! That's a bonus. And they serve good breakfast; serving's just right to get your day started. Gourmet sinigang! (I never imagined a simple tamarind soup could be that good). Only downside is they don't serve lunch or dinner so you'd have to go out or order delivery. Kudos to the kitchen staff!||||Location-wise it's not along the main highway (which I love because I want some peace and quite). But it's not as far a you think it might be; just a few minutes from the hotel, you'll get to the main highway where the malls and offices are. We brought with us a car so location's not a problem for us but in case you're flying in, no worries because they can just easily flag a taxi for you. Also, planes fly above the hotel (airport is somewhere near) but you'll barely get distracted by it. ||||Cable TV, good running water (it's just that sometimes, the hot water doesn't get that hot), work desk, cabinets, etc.||||Generally a wonderful stay for a budget of about $45/room/night (2 pax). Not bad, eh!||Will try to post...
Read moreThe location is good for those looking for a quiet place to stay, but still near the city. However, the hotel's heater is not working so you'll have to take your bath with cold Davao water. Wifi is also down, so prepare your own internet connection beforehand. There are no stores nearby. Buy your supplies before coming to the hotel. Breakfast is basic, to say the least. Rice is, unfortunately, undercooked on our second breakfast, and the hotdog is so oily that we had to wipe it with a napkin. There are no breakfast options. Only the daily set breakfast, with generous serving of rice, coffee and fruit. The advertised restaurant does not serve lunch and dinner, so you'll have to dine someplace else, or call delivery. Me and my baby daughter got stuffy nose from the probably uncleaned aircon filters. Towels and linens are of good quality, and the rooms are clean enough, but the inconveniences with the lack of the basics - wifi, hot water and decent food - plus the dirty aircon robs it of the...
Read moreThe room i had was spacious twin bed but can fit 3 guests. No outlet was available directly to the bed and no light controls near the bed either. The furnitures look expensive as well as the amenities in the cr. No hot water available and no free toothbrush and toothpaste, though the water pressure is good and there is bidet available which was very convinient. I got twin bed room for 1,200php at agoda with free breakfast. No elevator although there are only 3 floors so it's not an issue. No wifi either near my room which is at the 3rd floor, though data signal for globe telecom is good but no data signal for smart telecom. The parking spot is good for only 3 cars and the ramp to the parking is too steep so it is needed to be careful. The location has a little distance to the highway but not too far. If you want to have peaceful stay, I recommend this place but for the quality versus price it is below average and there are other places with more amenities for the same...
