Mantaray Siargao Villa — Hotel in General Luna

I don't often write reviews, but Mantaray Siargao has definitely left a special place in my heart. I had originally only booked two nights, but ended up staying 10 nights. The second Elvira and Joseph welcomed me so warmly, I felt right at home. The two of them have created a very special place. The house and garden are lovingly furnished and decorated. You can tell that a lot of thought has gone into it. I have rarely seen such a beautiful place that has been cared for with so much love. The rooms are very cozy and impeccably clean. There are countless places in the garden to lie down and relax and enjoy the great view. The location is also perfect. You can reach restaurants and stores on foot and still have absolute peace and quiet to sleep at night. Ultimately, the special thing about the place is the warmth and hospitality of Elvira, Joseph and Lala. Especially as a woman traveling solo, it's not always easy to find a place where you feel 100% comfortable. But with Mantaray Siargao, I made exactly the right choice. Elvira and Joseph gave me such a warm welcome that I immediately felt like I had found a home on Siargao. They helped me with every possible request I had. They have the best tips for "off the beaten path" experiences on the island. They organized the best surf instructors and an impressive private island tour for me. My partner and I had such a lovely and relaxing stay here. The property is beautifully decorated, set within a gated property with lush greenery, creating a peaceful atmosphere. There are 4 rooms with common spaces shared with other guests, but the house is incredibly spacious with plenty of open areas. Our room had its own terrace too, so it still felt private.

From the start, we were warmly welcomed by Joseph and Elvira - both were wonderful hosts who made us feel right at home. While waiting for our room, they kindly let us rest in their breezy second-floor living area, which was so thoughtful as we were exhausted from our 4am flight. When we got to our room, we were impressed by how spacious and well-prepared it was - everything from the bedsheets to the towels was laid out perfectly.

The pool was another highlight, offering a relaxing spot to cool off while enjoying views of the garden and sea. The location is also convenient - just a quick 5-minute trike or bike ride to/from the main part of Tourism Road with all the restaurants, making it easy to explore while still enjoying a quiet retreat. It is the first time of my life that i write a review upon arrival and not after check out but this private luxury villas definitely worth it. Located just outside General Luna busy area (ideal location) Joseph his wife and their kid provide the true paradise which makes you not wanting to go away. Just 2-3 private villas, posh and boho, massive spaces and adorable decoration on a small paradise within trees and flowers with a swimming pool and sea views. They are helpful, super friendly and truly kind and you just want to hang out with them! I think this is the best and most genuine hospitality I have ever found (and believe me I am an often traveler) and i want to definitely come back. Photos on booking and google definitely lack and the villas are simply much more amazing!!!! I m sure we will have a wonderful time wanting us to sty in the villa and not to explore...
