Maui Homestay — Hotel in General Luna

Excellent hosts, rooms are huge and with everything you need for long stays. Location is also perfect, close to everything and with space for your boards and parking for a car and scooters. You can buy fruits, veggies, snacks and drinks in the shop opposite the homestay, and even rent a scooter too. Check in and check out was super easy. We got picked up at the airport (paid a small fee per head) and the journey was about an hour, but with beautiful views so definitely enjoyed that too. Siargao is not the cheapest island in the Philippines, however it was still cheap enough so your money can get you places. Almost everywhere you go is cash only, but you can go to an ATM with your wise card or similar and withdraw (if the ATM has cash..) Definitely go surfing, go to the three island tour, go to the magpupungko rock in low tide, go to the bridge for local street food, go to the carenderias and explore the island, is totally worth it. Siargao was all I thought it would be, will definitely come back and stay at Maui Homestay too....

We had a really nice stay at Maui Homestay in Siargao! The place is very decent and definitely value for money. It’s clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The owners are super cool and accommodating, which made our stay even better.

There’s a common kitchen available for guests to use, and they also offer laundry services — very convenient! The location is great too — right along the Dapa–General Luna highway, so it’s easy to catch a ride to wherever you’re headed.

Plus, there’s a small store just outside where you can buy your necessities.

We’ll definitely stay here again next time...

My friend and I booked a room for two on Booking.com and when we arrived, the owner told us that if we didn't pay him a few hundred pesos more for the fact that we were two people, he would simply throw us out of the hotel and not give us our money back.
