Just when you think General Santos City couldn't get any more exciting, we stumbled upon a gem of a hotel that truly elevated our trip to new heights - The Grand Summit Hotel. From the moment we walked through the doors, we knew we were in for a treat. The hotel staff was the epitome of Filipino warmth and hospitality, with special shoutouts to Cassy and Mary Ann who greeted us with beaming smiles and made our check-in process smoother than ever. Not only was it fast, but it was hitech too - a perfect blend of traditional service with modern convenience. And also to Joy and the team for granting us a very late checkout time. As if that wasn't enough, they also treated us to a delightful welcome drink, which was the perfect way to quench our thirst and set the tone for the rest of our stay. It's these little gestures that truly make a difference, and the Grand Summit Hotel knows how to make every guest feel like royalty. The spacious rooms were a haven of comfort and elegance, offering more than enough space for us to unwind and recharge after a long day of exploring the city. The interior design and furnishings were a perfect blend of style and functionality, ensuring that we had everything we needed during our stay. One of the highlights of our mornings at the Grand Summit Hotel was the delicious breakfast spread. With a great selection of both local and international cuisine, it was a delectable way to kickstart our days. There was something for every taste, ensuring that everyone left with full bellies and satisfied cravings. If you're in town for business, the Grand Summit Hotel has got you covered as well. We noticed several well-equipped meeting rooms and facilities, perfect for conferences or business discussions. It's clear that they've thought about the needs of all types of travelers, making this an ideal choice for both leisure and business trips. In summary, our stay at the Grand Summit Hotel in General Santos City was nothing short of amazing. Between the friendly staff, luxurious rooms, sumptuous breakfast, and convenient facilities, this hotel truly goes above and beyond to create an unforgettable experience for its guests. We can't wait to come back and indulge in more of the magic that the Grand Summit Hotel has to offer!

I've read some negative reviews for this hotel so I was hesitant to book. But from researching other hotels in the area, this one has the more spacious rooms plus their location is strategic for my purpose (visited Gensan on a business). My wife and I booked the Deluxe Twin Room for 2 nights. Maybe they already made improvements based on those negative reviews because all the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, linens & towels were complete and spotless, toiletries are also complete. I like that they have dispensers for shampoo, shower gel, hand soap and lotion instead of providing them in small plastic bottles, this reduces plastic waste. There's hot and cold water from the faucet, there's minibar, coffee & tea. The safe fits my 15.6" laptop exactly so I think if you have a bigger laptop, it might not fit into the safe. A/C thermostat works perfectly. They have a swimming pool that we didn't get to try, it looks refreshing to take a dip there, though. We also didn't get to try any of their food because of our itinerary. They have a lot of parking slots at the back and at the side (we rented a car). There's also a Robinson's mall right next to the hotel but it's kinda limited. Though It's useful for grocery items, office supplies and hardware needs if ever you need them, other than those, the mall looks empty. There's another mall that I heard is much better (Veranza) and it's less than 500 meters away. Overall, our stay was perfect. This will definitely be our top choice when we go back to Gensan.

Our OJT culmination event was recently held at Grand Summit Hotel in General Santos, and it honestly turned out to be such a great venue for the occasion. From start to finish, everything went smoothly and the whole experience was memorable. The ambiance of the hotel felt really warm and classy. The setup of the event hall was elegant and fit perfectly for a formal gathering like ours. It gave off the right vibe for celebrating and looking back on everything we went through during our OJT. One thing that really stood out was how clean and comfortable the facilities were especially the restrooms. It might seem like a small thing, but it really added to the overall experience. Everything was well kept and organized, which says a lot about how the place is managed. The food was definitely a highlight! From appetizers to the main dishes and desserts, everything tasted great and was nicely presented. You could really tell they put effort into it. A lot of us even went back for second servings! The hotel staff also made a good impression. They were kind, respectful, and helpful all throughout the event. They were attentive to everyone’s needs without being overbearing, and their hospitality added to the positive atmosphere. All in all, our experience at Grand Summit was super satisfying. Even though it wasn’t us students who chose the venue, it honestly felt like a perfect fit for the kind of celebration we had. Big thanks to the whole Grand Summit team for helping make our milestone extra special!

one of the most expensive hotels in gensan, yet sadly, it does not provide the level of service you would expect for the price. we had high expectations since a one-night stay costs quite a lot, but unfortunately, our experience fell short.

here’s what we didn’t like about our stay: the rooms are not soundproof. i could clearly hear the occupants in the next room talking in the middle of the night, making it impossible for me to get a good night’s rest. on top of that, i could also hear the blasting tv from the other room.

the breakfast buffet offered a good variety of food choices. however, the food was cold because they didn’t have food warmers! it was completely unappetizing, and i don’t think i even got half the value of what we paid for - especially considering how expensive it was.

there were no visible written house rules regarding the use of the pool. we were about to take a dip with our baby but immediately backed out after witnessing a teenager seemingly peeing in the adult pool. the lifeguard or pool attendant, who was present, did nothing about it. it seemed like it wasn’t a concern to them.

the front desk staff was kind enough to mention that she had chosen one of the best rooms for us with a great view. however, when we got to our room, the view was terrible - we were facing a rooftop near the cooling tower, filled with garbage and plastic waste. it was far from what we were promised.

while using the elevator, it suddenly shut off for a few minutes, making our experience even worse. we had our baby with us, and i almost panicked at the thought of such an unfortunate accident happening. thankfully, the elevator turned back on, and we hurried out because we were so scared! the only response from the hotel was a call to our room, asking if we were okay and “not too shaken” (verbatim). seriously?

the only positive aspect of our stay was that they kindly provided a free cot for our baby. for that, we...

Stayed there overnight and it’s a great hotel for its’ price!

Room: The room we stayed at has two beds and were spacious and clean. I love the hotel’s interior because everything look so clean, luxurious, and well-maintained. We could see the pool from our room and they played music — it was a bit loud but they turned it off at around 8 or 9pm.

Breakfast buffet: was good with many options (I like how they had like a ramen station and an egg station). From what I remember they had like typical filipino breakfast with rice, cornbeef, fish, etc. But didn’t see much vegetarian options.

Staffs: The staffs were nice especially the front desk staff. We were able to have them keep our stuff since we arrived early from the airport.

Restaurant: Had their own restaurant and it was really good. A bit pricey but it is a restaurant so it’s understandable. Portion size weren’t too small either, just enough.

Pool: Played really good music (I need their playlist ASAP) and the pool was clean. It was not heated but it’s okay since it was warm outside (even at night). I think the pool is below 5 feet or even lower. They also have a kid-friendly pool. They also had a nice looking bar by the pool where you can order alcoholic drinks and I think other food as well. Plenty enough chairs and table where you can relax and/or put your stuff. The staff who greeted us gave us pool towels so no need to bring one. They also had showers which is convenient if you want to directly shower after swimming.

Location: Good location; The closest mall was Robinsons if you just want to walk. There were also tricycles nearby Robinsons if you don’t have a car or don’t want to...
