RedDoorz near KCC Mall Gensan — Hotel in General Santos

I stayed at RedDoorz near KCC Mall Gensan and honestly, I didn’t expect to love it this much. The place is surprisingly peaceful....you’ll literally hear birds chirping in the morning, which I only truly appreciated after staying here for just one night (more than I did during my 5-night stay back in February!). Sometimes less is more, and peace and quiet hit differently.

I also love the flowers in front of the property....such a simple detail, but if you’re someone who appreciates nature, you’ll definitely notice it. This spot is perfect if you want peace of mind, some alone time, or if you just happened to end up in General Santos City and need a quiet retreat.

I saw a comment saying the area is “too dark.” Honestly? That’s what makes it cozy! And let’s not exaggerate....it’s not pitch black, it’s just not blindingly bright like the places sitting right next to the main road. If you’re into glaring lights and constant noise, by all means, go stay there. But if you want serenity, this is where you should be.

Every time I feel like disconnecting from the world, this is my go-to. And yes....I’ll keep coming back. Bonus: it’s just walking distance to the malls. So really, best of...

This is a typical budget hotel. It is actually called TriSeven Hotel or something. Cheaper by about Php100 (or about USD 2.00) if you book directly with them instead of via Red Doorz.||||The room was tiny, the towels slightly old and worn, the bed and pillows absolutely basic, and there were no free toiletries except for 4 cotton q-tips and one little 3-in-1 bath gel/shampoo. No toilet paper was given.||||They did give one 350ml of bottled water.||||Don't expect any breakfast as there is no in-house restaurant. The hotel is less than 10 minutes away from major malls, so that may help a little.||||Overall, it is a hotel really for backpackers who plan only on a very short stay and not something I would recommend to other types of travelers.||||Stayed in Room 10...

For price, this place is worth it, especially for a short stay. Room was exceptionally clean and was comfortable. Although the bathroom was small, it didn't have any weird, funny smells, and their amenities worked well with no issues. I would stay here again. I did an overnight visit with my sister. Recommended. Location wise, it's close to everything. It's just hidden away and there isn't a proper road which is muddy...
