NOT BAD!
We stayed here for couple nights as one of our favorites hotel was full. I think there were some conventions going on in town for a whole week or so at that time. They have a shuttle van that picked us up at the airport around 5 in the afternoon and arrived at destination 30 minutes later, I think. Security personnel welcomed us by opening the door with a pleasant smile. Front desk was prompt and friendly as well. It really did not take as long to get to our room as I remembered correctly. The room was comfortable enough and clean, except the shower door was busted. We reported it as soon as possible before we headed out and they briskly fixed it by the time we got back. That was good. One thing though that I noticed myself that needs to be done by the manager is the employees etiquette. While eating breakfast, employees were standing in a group watching motocross on the TV showing unbehaved manner and did not roam around if guests need coffee or anything. As a person who used to work in a restaurant, during hours of operation, we were not allowed to converse in a group while on duty because you never know, some guests are watching you and they might even write a review about employees behavior and that is not good at all. It was also the same thing with housekeeping. We headed up after breakfast and they were in front of the door next to us, talking so loud and again, showing unprofessional behavior. At least, they were friendly and greeted us, as we exited and entered the building. Whoever the manager is or the owner, please have your employees retrained about good service and proper etiquette. Other than that, not a bad hotel. Location wise is great. Right across the street is the new GMALL and walking distance to Mcdonalds and SM Mall. Also, 7/11 is literally in the compound. If you guys are planning to rent a car, AVIS has a small office in the hotel right by...
Read moreBest thing about this hotel was the staff especially the security guard at the front door on day shift. Very happy our room two double beds nice clean room, but time to upgrade to a bigger television and the air conditioning old and noisy. My biggest concerns are they charge you 350 pesos per night for 16 nights just to have a beer fridge, nearly 10 Australian dollars that’s a rip off, if had it for 22 nights I could have bought a new fridge in Australia then to top it off they tried to charge me about another 10 nights, they wanted to charge me 8000 pesos for 16 nights, when I questioned it they took 10 minutes to work out then came up with Input error or was it? Wake up management a fridge should be included in every hotel instead of ripping off people.|Also don’t like where they give you internet vouchers we were always chasing vouchers they would give you 2 for 3 people as well as sometimes you would get 2 towels sometimes 3 same with the complementary bottled water and the breakfast vouchers.|This comes to my biggest hate the kitchen dining area, breakfast hot food was cold stone cold, sitting in the Bain Marie with no flame, toaster was a little oven that once temperature reached the elements turned off and not toast the bread breakfast was not much variety unless you like fish. Had dinner there one night watched them cook our two mains then sat on trolly waiting for fried rice to be cooked then served mains cold, I let them know not happy should have known from our last visit a few years ago, still no improvement about the kitchen. A good hotel with a few improvements could be great again staff are great except the cooks need to learn how to deliver hot food at the same time.|Another good thing is it is opposite one of the malls but hard to get a tricycle in that section because not allowed...
Read moreI have been to many hotels due to the nature of my work, I rarely leave a review of the hotels I stay at. However, my experience at this hotel was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share my feedback.
On the positive side, Ma'am Chique Allan, the sales manager was extra accommodating and cheerfully attending to our every requests and the staff were friendly and nice. However, my experience was marred by several significant issues. Firstly, there was a dead cockroach on the floor of my room just right in front of my bed, and the sink had a terrible odor that smelled like a den of cockroaches. This was certainly not a pleasant experience and made me feel uncomfortable during my stay.
Additionally, the phone in my room was not working. The room was also dim, as it lacked a ceiling light in the bed area, and one of the lamps was busted while the other was difficult to turn on. This further added to the inconvenience. Despite being assured that the hotel's Wi-Fi would not slow down, the internet was mediocre at best. This was particularly frustrating as we were broadcasting a national event live and required a stable connection. Unfortunately, their IT guy was not helpful at all, which made managing our event more difficult. Fortunately, 5G is prevalent in the area, so I ended up using my mobile data.
Overall, while the hotel staff were friendly, the significant issues I encountered during my stay made it difficult to recommend this hotel to others.
In summary, if you are considering staying at this hotel, I would advise caution and recommend exploring other options in the area. While some aspects of my stay were positive, the significant issues with the room, amenities, and IT support made for a disappointing...
