I stayed there for six nights in the budget room. This hotel is quite a distance from the famous Bounty beach (15 min walking distance) where the most dive shops and restaurants are located. ||||Hotel staff delayed my check-in by almost 3 hours from time scheduled by hotel in Agoda (10:00 a.m.). By the day check in, I was arriving at 10:00 a.m. and being told that room was not ready to check in. After few hours back to hotel I was still being asked to wait for the room as according to hotel staff check-in time in Agoda.com website was stated incorrectly. ||||Room was outdated, broken down, and dirty. The furniture in the room was stains and there was a terrible damp old smell. Pictures of accommodation do not reflect the reality of it at least for budget room. The biggest downside is the water because they use "salt water" for tap and shower. As I understood the water they provided via the tap and shower is actually salt water filtered from the ocean as it is very salty and had weird taste especially had weird taste especially when you’re brushing teeth. They only provide body soap and shampoo and towels for toiletries. ||||There are lots of hidden costs that may confuse you if you are travelling on budget. There is aircon in the room but you are allowed to use it only for extra cost (and this info was hidden in Agoda.com page). They do provide water only at the reception or at the restaurant for ₱20, so you have to have your own empty bottles to refill yourself. Breakfast was very mediocre with an additional cost ₱160. I do not advise to stay in this hotel as you can definitely find better options for this price. ||||Transfer they provided is for around ₱2,500 one way for 2-3 persons. You can do it cheaper as following: ||Taxi from/to Mactan–Cebu International Airport to/from Cebu North Bus Terminal, PHP (₱): 230-250||Bus from/to Cebu North Bus Terminal to/from New Maya Port or Old Maya Port, PHP (₱): 200-230||Ferry from/to New Maya Port or Old Maya Port,...

Very loud music at night, we asked the staff, they say there is a disco right next door, which has a party every Saturday, but only on Saturdays. If you choose this day, bring earplugs. |You do not hear neighbors or other guests in the hotel.||You order breakfast on a card and are served one dish and one drink (either coffee or pineapple juice). If you want more or something else, it costs extra.|We think the breakfast is very basic.||The shower is not very hot and the shower head holder could use a replacement, the shower falls down. The room is spacious and generally clean. Nice there is a closet and a table. The bed is comfortable, the linen clean, but old stains on the sheets and holes patched up. ||There is free drinking water to fill up at the reception, you are given one 1/2 liter drinking bottle per room. Bring your own if necessary. The water dispenser could use a thorough cleaning, doesn't look that appetizing. The staff are nice, friendly, smiling. The garden is nice and well maintained.||Located 5 minutes walk from Bounty beach, which the hotel actually advises not to use because there is a lot of boat traffic and the risk of not being seen when swimming. Instead, they recommend the north beach, approx. 30 min walk or a ride on a scooter. We spent a few afternoons at Bounty Beach, it was okay, there are shady places and you can swim at the beach, just be aware of the boats. We walked to the north beach, but did not like it because of trash on the beach and too windy, but a nice...

It was First visit in Malapascua and i was not familiar with the place and choosing a place to stay was tricky and i just randomly selected this property based on the pictures online and reviews were limited. This place is basic, simple and decent. I really felt the Malapascua community vibe. Room was very spacious and clean. I really had a comfortable stay. Resort people were very friendly special mention to Ms. Anne who assisted me with the check in and check out. She was very kind and gave me information about the place, especially about money/cash option as the ATM in the island were not working during my stay.||The resort is walking distance to/from the port and also to the bounty beach. Might be confusing as there are a lot of small alleys. There are signages and directions going to the resort posted on some areas.||I really like the simplicity of this accommodation. Not fancy, not trying to be different but more of giving the local...

We experienced a fantastic time at the MGR over New Years Eve. The location is great with just a 5 minute walk to the beach. The resort garden is beautifully taken care of by the owners and the rooms are very spacious and equipped with fridge, desk, closet and modern ACs and (finally) a properly pressured shower 🚿 (a rarity in South East Asia). The breakfast is simple but super delicious and made with fresh market fruits. If you need more, there is plenty of choices at the beach front. We also did a few boat trips (just ask at the reception) to some deserted islands đŸïž such as Lamanok. All in all the resort is a great center spot to discover the beautiful island of Malapascua. Will definitely coming back. BIG PLUS: Quick and stable Starlink WiFi connection available 📡

Best value for money on Malapascua. Pics don’t do justice, the room is much more modern & spacious than you’d think. Fantastic AC, very clean and no mould as is the case in many other guesthouses here + great placement so it doesn’t blow straight into your face as you sleep. Super quiet at night & during the day too. My fellow nomads will love starlink wifi. Great staff and cutest doggies. Tasty breakfast.

The stay itself was good, the room was clean and functionally furnished. What bothered or surprised me a bit was the atmosphere. The staff were not particularly friendly—I didn’t see a single smiling face. Instead, they constantly had very serious expressions, which makes you feel not really welcome as a guest.
