After two long years without foreign tourists due to Covid-19, the place looks a bit suffered and not appealing much by look, but I'm really happy that we gave it a chance, we had our best/fresh meals always here in Malapascua. Gemma (owner lady) is really friendly and probably the best cook on the whole island, she knows the difference between vegetarian and vegan. Expect loong food preparation duration (around an hour) as for some vegetables she collects from the garden during the preparation, everything was nice. Better to get her number and give the order an hour ago or schedule next time while you are eating. Gemma is very kind she even prepared take-away food for our boat trip (there are only bbq options on the boat trips) in the early morning. Pumpkin Soup is a must try, my favourite! Expect huge portions, for two people one soup, one salad (very fresh one), one side and one main is mooore than enough. Prices are better than other restaurants. Gemma promised us to include more vegetarian/vegan options in...

After reading the reviews we were excited by the quality of food! And this did not disappoint! We were nervous about wait, so between dives at lunchtime we visited to make a reservation and the owner requested we placed our order. Upon arrival in the evening our food was served hot immediately. This is a genuine local family restaurant, and they cook to serve so if you don’t pre-order I would expect a long wait. However if you do the food is worth the wait. We had the chicken curry, chicken Kebab and ceviche. All were fantastic! The ceviche blew us away with how good it was. Portions were huge, we are two blokes who did 3 dives and skipped lunch and we couldn’t finish the 3 plates. For those in doubt of ordering in advance, it took 40min for the table next to us to get their food after ordering upon arrival. But for a genuine local home cooked meal, head in and...

You must eat here!! Best food we have had in 1 month in the Phillipines. Super fresh, huge portions, delicious and reasonably priced.

We ordered the fish curry which was creamy and delicious, fish kinilaw (ceviche) which was fresh, with amazing flavors and came with rice, the spring rolls which were freshly homemade not frozen (we saw the ingredients arriving from the market) and so tasty, and the chicken noodles which was a huge serving. Each dish alone was enough for a whole large meal. We had to take some home and were still super full. The mango shake was also delicious.

Do not miss this amazing restaurant. It does not look like much from outside but they make the best food. And yes you may have to wait a bit but that is because everything is freshly prepared to order. I would give it 10...

Really good home cooked food here. Have to reserve in advance though but that's not the end of the world. We ate here several days in a row. Tried multiple items on the menu all were fantastic. Everything is cooked there and then unlike most of the other restaurants on the island where it's sits in fly covered pots all day, as a result, if you haven't reserved, you could be in for a little wait. Totally worth it though as you're not going to get sick and the food tastes delicious.
