VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!!! Dont get Scammed!!! Dont believe what they post in facebook. They let us believe that there rooms are new and clean. But the complete opposite, its like a boarding house. Even asked for actual photos of room they will give us, they send us the photos seen on their facebook but when we saw the actual rooms, it was a Mess, with no CR. We booked for 3 days and 2 nights and payed in full P20K. They wont refund us only because its their policy for reservation and no show, but we are actually there and got so disappointed and decided to transfer to another resort. We didn't even stay for the 1st day. They wont refund even the 2nd and 3rd day. We complain at the barangay hall, and found out, we were not the first they have scammed. They have alot of other complaints from other guests and even other resorts for using their photos in their ad. They are using other resorts and make people believe it. ITS FALSE ADVERTISING! A SCAM. They didn't refund our full payment, not even half. The owner wont talk to us. The staffs are all defensive and disrespectful. In short, you won't get anything in return. They will delete all negative comments about them in all social media accounts, and block the poster.

DARK, DINGY AND DERELICT !!! - Photographs used on the app are outdated and misleading. - Common area is gloomy with a strong smell of mould/damp (one of the staff members was even wearing a mask) - No atmosphere and a generally strange vibe - Front desk is often unmanned for 15-20 mins at a time, staff always seem to be "on lunch break" no matter the time of day. They are generally unhelpful/do not have authority to make decisions. Manager "does not want to be bothered" and would not speak to us directly. - Use their "policy" as an excuse not to refund customers when they are at fault. (Policy should not cover unsanitary conditions). We had plaster bagworms and termite frass/excrement on the bed/pillows. We waited 15-20 minutes at the front desk to speak to a staff member and ask to move rooms but eventually had to pay for a different hostel as nobody was present. When we came back to collect our belongings, staff assessed the bed and wiped the pillows, placed them on another guest's bed and denied anything being on them. We moved to Capsule Hotel just a 3 minute walk away. Much more pleasant, very friendly staff, nice seating area with a bar and music, very clean and great prices!

Sharing a photo of how it looks like from the outside. The streets in Malapascua are rugged and narrow, only wide enough for a motor/scooter so you might miss the front of the hostel. I only stayed here for a night, coming from my trip to Kalanggaman Island. For only Php 499.00 a night, I had a nice sleep in the shared dorm room. The beds were capsule-type. You get a nightlight, outlet, lockers, and privacy curtains. Most of the people staying with me that time were foreigners. Nobody was rowdy, everyone kept to themselves which I liked. They have starlink wi-fi so it was all good. I also like that they give free drinking water to guests. The bathroom is serviceable, good enough for a remote island. You need to temper your expectations with these sort of things. The cubicles were clean, the lights were working, there were enough hooks for toiletries and towels. It had a heater and the pressure was great. The water was not too salty or hard. The toilets had free tissue too.

On our out-of-town trips and adventures, we are always on the lookout for affordable accommodation. We found a cool one in the paradise island of Malapascua in northern Cebu.

Malapascua Budget Inn is everything an affordable accommodation is and more. Rather than just a place to stay, the facility has a very relaxing common area, complete with a bar, where guests can dine, chat, relax, and play board games. It has a common kitchen for those who want to prepare their favorite gastronomic delights.

Rooms are very affordable and range from one-bed to bunk-style dorms. The rooms have rudimentary amenities, but are you really going to stay in your room all day? During the day, you'd be going on adventures around the island, so why do you need to pay extra for luxuries that you are not going to use anyway?

JR and his staff are very friendly and would ensure your stay in the island is worthwhile. Thus, they have connections to scuba dive outfitters, pumpboat operators, habal-habal drivers, and other service providers who help you enjoy Malapascua to the max. So you're not just getting a place to sleep, shower, and rest! You are getting a package of adventure!

Malapascua Budget Inn is a great choice, we tell you. Book...

We arrived early of December 7, it's my 2nd time at Malapascua Budget Inn so I know what to expect. It's one of my top choice in the island since it's affordable and you'll definitely get the "Island Life" that you been eyeing for a breather from the City bustles.||||Since my last visit, the main reception area is still there and with some noticeable improvements in the compound:||- A new 3-storey building with new dorm-type rooms||- New bar at the rooftop of the new building (formerly at the main reception)||- A ongoing construction left hand side near the gate which I learned that it'll be an ATM machine soon!||||When I want to immerse myself to remote islands such as Malapascua, I don't really expect luxury (even if I can afford) since these elegance can be grasps within the City where I spend most of my life. I'm glad there's this kind of accommodation offered by Malapascua Budget Inn that for some time stamp of your life, you'll value simplicity and functionality.||||We had Island hopping around Malapascua, a chance to do cliff diving, disco over the motor boat, tried socializing at the new Bar at the roof top, slept comfortably and leave the island the following day sun-kissed.||||Thanks...
