Oftana Suites — Hotel in Mandaue

I needed lodging near Banilad for one night and was pleasantly surprised with the overall Oftana Suites experience. ||||The front desk staff was very friendly and English speaking. The room was very spacious and clean. All the fixtures worked flawlessly (not common at this level of accomodation in Cebu). It had all basic amenities as well as a refrigerator.||||It is conveniently located directly across the street from Jollibee and Bo's Coffee. Easy walking distance to Oakridge Business Park/Mall and a longer walk to Streetscape Mall. ||||I'll definitely stay there anytime I need to stay in the Mandaue/Banilad area and highly recommend it for value and convenience even if a taxi...

This was a good value for money place to stay. It was clean and the rooms were quite large, with simple amenities and provided toiletries. I did not try the older style TV but assumed it worked. The reception was ok, albeit quite small and the young lady on duty in the morning had no clue about anything. There is a coffee and cake shop downstairs which was open quite early (I was there at 5.30 am) serving a nice cuppa. Limited car parking was also available at the front of the building. I would like to give a big thanks to the security guard who was very helpful and accommodating from the moment I arrived until I checked out. I forgot to ask for his name, but kudos to him for his excellent service.As for the hotel, I booked a spacious room that had a lovely window view and a small refrigerator. However, most of their appliances were a bit outdated, and I hope they can upgrade at least those.
