Gaylord Residence Manila — Hotel in Manila

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Here are some of the reasons:

Aircon: Functioning, yes. However, the aircon is too old and could barely make the room temperature cold. The aircon stop working twice during the stay. We believe that there is another breaker connected to the owner's house and they are controlling it.

Electric Fan: They have 1 fan, but that's not enough for a big room. The ceiling fan in the balcony is not functioning, too, because the wire is cut.

Silverware: You have to bring your own utensils because they do not have one. People tend to bring disposable utensils and this is not good for environment. If they care about environment, they should at least provide. Imagine if you are all from outside metro, are you gonna bring your own utensils? Definitely no.

Videoke: Too loud and you have no way to minimize the sound. No songbook, too.

For future bookers: Bring all the things you needed because the location is on the 5th floor. You'll have to take a...

As a foreigner I can only recommend this place if you wanna experience the really daily life in Philippines. The location is around a nice neighborhood, lot of Filipinos restaurants, it's accessible by public transport and it's easy to move with motors. Rate of the rooms are fair, hosts are nice and welcoming and very reactive, we always had good communication, when there was a problem they solve it very fast. You have a total privacy, there were no invasive questions like other places I was thinking of rent.
