So first of all they have this rule that I completely am weirded out and is so messed up in so many level of if you booked a room you are not allowede to cancel it for some reasons and has to fully pay the room that you reserved or booked even though you have not even used the room or any of it’s fascilities they own and If I say pay the room what I meant by it is to pay it’s full payement. In all of the resorts that we’ve been through with my family we’ve been through better ones which are way cheaper than this resort and is even more worth the price. We asked one employee what will they do if we don’t pay they answered it with a very threatening way by saying then we won’t let you go outside 🤔 well that’s very friendly. So we had no choice but to be forced to stay in for the night although since this was the only time that I get to go on a real vacation I stayed positive. And when when we got to the room well first the restroom smelled like someone used it to defecate and let’s just say the door knob on the Restroom was rusty and looked old and broken and you had to push it hard in order to close it,the shower was also old looking and broken you can actually tell because it was not working very well. The breakfast menu though was really expensive although we got them for free. The lights also at night needs an improvement. Just one employee was stuck up and snobby but the girl who was a temporary manager and the rest of the employee were nice, descent and very professional and Tbh the room prise is not worth what your money is paying for. Overall the resort needs a lot of improvement like the pool side as well it needed to be covered by something because in the day it’s really no fun to go in the pool when the sun is covering all the area maybe do something about it like covering it or something. This is not tobdiscourage anybody but it’s just a personal experience we all are different I guess maybe we had high expectations about it and if only they would let us go and go to another resort it would’ve...
Read moreThe photos are soooo outdated! The place is in serious renovation with moldy bathroom tiles, crusty sinks and faucets, stained towels and sheets, and buildings that are in serious need of repair. The main reason I booked this place was because they call themselves a dive resort. They did not go out on dives for the four days we were there. We inquired about diving with them and they told us there was no availability to go with them. What a joke. Rather than referring us to another dive operation we had to seek one on our own. Luckily a dive op right around the corner, Haka could take us to Balicasag Island the next day. |When we checked in, I asked for an extra bed for my daughter. They said they would go to their storeroom to get a bed for her. I couldn’t believe it when instead of doing that they grabbed a stained mattress that was sitting outside in their unused outdoor bar area and brought that to the bungalow. I told them to remove it and get one that was actually in their storeroom rather one that could possibly be infested with who knows what type of insects and mold. |In this case, you definitely get what you pay for. I did not know this because on other islands, when we paid around the same price point we had some decent lodging. If I ever visit Bohol again I will just pay up the extra $100 and stay somewhere clean that offers diving as a dive resort. |Pros: The staff is nice when you talk to them. The location is across from a bakery called Ubebe which is good. And it is close to Haka. |Cons: Too many to list. But the staff’s incompetence and quick ability to avoid taking responsibility for mistakes they made in calculations and not having a single dive available is a major red flag. I would never recommend this place to anyone unless...
Read moreCome for relaxing by the pool, return again and again for the scuba diving.
My Filipina wife and I have come here twice each year for about five years, and with each year, things are getting better.
It’s relaxed and friendly Filipina-style service. The rooms are basic but very clean and pleasant. Our room had just been renovated, which is one example on how this small resort is always looking for ways to improve.
The breakfasts are hearty and tasty (the toast is not toasted, but compensates with lots of jam).
Dinners have now been added back, and that was a pleasant surprise. But just look on Google Maps and you will see many good restaurants within a five-minutes walk: especially Wooden Guitar House, Cactus Cantina, the Reef, and lastly, Bread and Blend for alternative breakfasts and sandwiches.
There is a great scuba diving shop attached to the hotel, managed by Hanschi from Germany. If you are new to diving, I recall that there’s a special package for some pool training and a single dive for under 4K PHP. A single dive will open up your world! It will be the best money you spend in Panglao.
Some words of caution: we have never had good wifi in our room: we sit at night in the restaurant to get good reception. This whole side and end of Panglao Island is prone to seaweed: no resort in the area is free from that, so basically there is a beach-front, but no sea-swimming. You would need to go to Alona Beach for that, about 100 PHP trike ride. But this resort has a good pool for swimming and children.
Many of the pics posted here are inadvertently for a different resort. I don’t think those pics of luxurious CRs are not from here.
We cannot recommend this...
