DON’T BELIEVE WHAT YOU SEE the pictures online looked amazing and they have some good reviews but from the moment we got picked up from the airport I already got bad vibes. The night before I called and requested a van to pick us up at 10am. We’re in a group of 3 and have 2 big check in luggages, 3 small carry ons and our backpacks. We waited arrival area for the driver and we got a toyota corolla… They wanted to charge me 800 pesos for a toyota corolla with no air conditioning but eventually settled for 500 since it was a smaller car, not a van as mentioned on the phone call. We got to the hotel a bit earlier than our check in so we had to kill some time so we walked around the neighbourhood. The hotel is located in more of a residential area, a bit away from the main road, a bit sketchy. Check in process was smooth, they required a 2000 peso deposit per room (which is more than most places). Once we got the key and got into our room we noticed it smelled like urine.. as we were trying to find the exact spot (seemed like it was coming from the couch area close to the sliding door) we noticed how dirty this place really was… there were dirt marks on the bed sheets, other peoples hair on the sheets and even marks on the floor. We booked 2 rooms so we went to go check if the other room had the same smell, it didn’t but the room was also dirty. We requested to have the rooms cleaned but after thinking about it more we just wanted to cancel, get our money back and book somewhere else. The front desk staff said it wasn’t possible since we booked through agoda. We asked to speak to the manager but she wasn’t there so they contacted her on our behalf. The manager said they couldn’t cancel the booking because they haven’t been paid by agoda. So I called agoda support, they contacted the hotel and the manager refused to cancel/refund the room. After speaking with agoda support a bit longer, he understood my situation and told me to find other accommodations and he will take care of the rest. We left for an hour and found a cleaner place in a better neighbourhood for an even cheaper price. When we got back to the hotel to grab our luggage and check out 2 of the staff members came up to us and apologized and offered us free breakfast — I told them not to worry as we’re going to check out and go to another hotel. They seemed a bit shocked but honestly after going through the hassle of trying to cancel because we were unhappy with how the rooms was initially presented to us it was...
Read moreThis is our first time in wonderful Panglao, Bohol and I must say that Only Seed far exceeded our expectations. We researched and looked at high end resorts when we first arrived and we were very lucky that we chose Only Seed. We were greeted by the friendliest front desk staff that welcomed us with a smile and great customer service. Thank you to Judy, Teresa and Cathy. All the hotel staff everywhere were the mos accommodating from the pool staff to the restaurant.
The amenities in this resort compares to the luxury hotels in what it has to offer. The expansive and beautiful swimming pool is great to do laps or just lounge around. The hotel lobby has the decor and ambiance that feels luxurious. Now we had the opportunity to see the different accommodations and they offer rooms with direct pool access which was amazing. Imagine opening the door to a patio and dipping in the water. We were lucky enough to stay in the Luxury Family Suite. We were impressed how huge our room was. This was the perfect size and layout for a family of 4. It had a dining table. A big bathroom with dual vanity sinks and a separate shower with immediate hot water. The best part was the primary bedroom with a king size bed with a balcony overlooking the pool. The main room had dining table, and big leather couch and 2 double beds. Its located in the very back of the property which felt really private and secluded.
Overall Only Seed is the perfect resort getaway. You get the most value for your hard earned money. All the staff are very nice and accommodating. The food and drinks are amazing. It offers all the amenities of a 5+ star resort. Its far from the noisy bars and crowds yet close enough to get to. You can step outside and walk around and see many carenderias and sari sari stores. If you get a chance to stay in Panglao you must consider Only Seed. You will get the best value for your money and leave here feeling happy. Only Seed will be the only place we will come back to on Panglao. Thank you to the amazing staff for making our family vacation the...
Read moreSo, Only Seed Hotel... hmm, where do I start? The room was okay, but you know when the pics online look way better? Yeah, that. I think they use photos of, like, all their rooms for the standard king, 'cause I was picturing something bigger. The shower was a struggle – was the water even hot? Who knows! The separate toilet and shower thing? Cute idea, but brrr! Still freezing in there because of the gaps up top. And OMG, when my hubby showered, the toilet flooded! The seal is a joke. And the bidet? Let's just say it's like a power washer for your lady bits. Ouch! But hey, free water! That's a win. And the breakfast? Sarap! Not too salty, just right. I was shook when they brought out the whole spread – fruit, coffee, juice... all of it! Tapsilog was on point. They even nailed the eggs – sunnyside up for me, cooked yolk for the hubs. Plus, a whole plate of watermelon each! The juice and coffee were legit. The pool looked Insta-worthy, but we were zonked from our countryside tour. Plus, it closes early. The location's a bit out of the way, but there's street food nearby for when you're tipid. Not the best grub, but busog is busog, right? Would I stay again? Ewan ko. The staff were super nice, though. But no phones in the room? Ugh, gotta trek to the front desk next door for everything. Not fun in the Bohol heat! 😅 But they did decorate the room for our anniversary, which was a nice touch. Sarap: DeliciousTipid: Frugal/ThriftyBusog: Full/SatisfiedEwan ko:...
