Danao Beach — Attraction in Panglao

In one word dissapointment. I came there probably at low tide since many ships were stranded on the shore. Whole place felt deserted and unwelcoming (even though the beach resorts were opened). What good comes from having nice white sand when it feels weird even to sit on it and sea is behind barrier od sea weeds? If you are not staying in one of the resorts than to get there just follow your google maps and in the end continue straight ahead rather than turning left. Enter the narrow alley and Heureka, you arrived at your destination. Hope you have better time...

Perhaps I simply visited the beach at the wrong time and tide, but it is an understatement to say it was a disappointment as I certainly did not come across a picturesque beach with white sand. It seemed more like a docking place for boats, and the beach came across as dirty.

I was told the beach is more for hotels nearby, so I would not advise to go here as a visitor. Having said that, it might be better at different time and tide, but not...

You can find a lot of starfish there, but please let me tell you some curiosities about them, because it’s really important!
