CLEANLINESS: The common areas were all well-maintained during my stay. The beds were made neatly, and the linens provided were fresh and clean. The common areas, including the lounge and kitchen, were consistently tidy. It's evident that the hostel staff takes pride in keeping the premises clean, which greatly enhanced our stay and made us feel comfortable and at ease.
STAFF FRIENDLINESS: I found the hostel staff to be generally welcoming and willing to assist with our needs. Upon check-in, they were friendly and provided me with all the necessary information about the hostel and its amenities.
ATMOSPHERE: The atmosphere at the hostel had a good balance between being friendly and sociable while also offering quiet and peaceful moments. The common areas, like the lounge and kitchen, were often lively and bustling with guests socializing and making new friends. This created a warm and welcoming environment, particularly for solo travelers looking to connect with others.
However, the dormitories were relatively quiet during the night, which was great for a good night's sleep. The hostel seemed to strike a nice balance between creating spaces for social interaction and providing a peaceful environment for those who preferred a quieter setting. It offered the best of both worlds for various types of travelers.
AMENITIES: The inclusion of breakfast as part of the accommodation was a definite highlight. It provided a convenient and budget-friendly way to start the day. The breakfast options were varied and suited different dietary preferences, which was a thoughtful touch. It allowed for additional flexibility and cost savings during the stay.
The common areas for socializing were inviting and well-maintained. They provided a welcoming space for meeting fellow travelers, sharing experiences, and relaxing. These amenities collectively contributed to a positive and enjoyable experience at the hostel.
NOISE LEVELS: The noise levels in the hostel, especially at night, were generally manageable. While the common areas, such as the lounge and kitchen, were occasionally lively during the evening, I didn't find this to be a significant disturbance. Most guests seemed to be respectful of quiet hours, and the hostel's policy appeared to be effective in maintaining a peaceful atmosphere.
I appreciated the presence of courteous fellow travelers who minimized noise during nighttime hours. noise.
Overall, I did have a relatively peaceful night's sleep during my stay. The hostel's noise control measures and the consideration of fellow guests contributed to a restful atmosphere that allowed me to get a good night's rest.
FEEDBACK FOR IMPROVEMENT:
WI-FI: One area where I believe the hostel could make an enhancement is the Wi-Fi connection. While the Wi-Fi was provided as an amenity, I did experience some issues with its reliability and speed during my stay. A more stable and faster Wi-Fi connection would be a valuable improvement, especially for travelers who rely on it for communication, work, or entertainment. This enhancement would significantly contribute to the overall guest experience at the hostel.
COMFORT ROOM or TOILET: Thus, I noticed that the bathrooms in the hostel could benefit from more frequent cleaning. While the initial state was satisfactory, over the course of my stay, it became apparent that the bathrooms were not being maintained as regularly as they should be. I believe that more frequent cleaning would greatly improve the overall cleanliness and guest experience...
Read moreI have had some incredibly poor customer service experiences in my life. I have been screwed over by Alaska Airlines, forcing me to stay in an airport for over 24 hours. I have had luggage mishandled and lost, AirTags ripped out and stolen. I have had $1000 itineraries through third party booking sites get completely broken without so much as alerting me. I haven’t had the worst experiences anyone has ever had, but this is all to say I’ve had some terrible ones of my own.
This is, without a doubt, the most absolutely heinous customer service and treatment I have ever received in my life. Frankly, it’s probably the most disrespected I have ever been in my life, at least from a stranger. I’m a pretty patient person. I don’t even think I’ve ever gotten an attitude with someone in customer service before, until now.
We have a check in at 2 PM. We get there at 1:50 PM, and are told to wait a bit while they prepare the room. Sure, we’re early, that’s okay. 2.10 PM rolls around, I ask if it’s available, I’m told to wait a bit. Okay, unfortunate, but things happen. 2:30 rolls around, I ask if I can get an ETA…?
“Oh, maybe 4 or 5 PM sir.”
After carrying our luggage half a kilometer across the beach to get to the hotel, in 30+ degrees, they weren’t so much as even going to TELL me what time it’ll be available. I had to look after our entire group’s luggage, which, was left out in the open by the way by their staff. I’m not even sure there was a security camera pointed at it. I had to wait 3 hours in the heat, where there was a single fan pointed at the bartender that wasn’t even on, looking after our luggage that no staff bothered to keep an eye on. Unbelievable. Surely we get the room for free, right…?
“Oh sir because you checked in late hehe we will waive the late check out fee you requested :)” excuse me…? The room should be getting discounted by the thirty minute mark, by 3 hours offering that pittance is unbelievable. What’s worse is they had the audacity to frame it as a good thing. “Oh sir you’ll have AC! You’re lucky!” Huh…? We’re lucky the room is supposed to function as it should have, after waiting 3 hours for it…?
I was also laughed at for dropping a power bank by the same customer service “I saw that heeheee ;)” after waiting 3 hours.
Whatever. At like 5 PM we bring all the luggage to the room. I’m pissed, I leave. I ask to lock the room since no one else is in it.
“Sorry sir the room doesn’t lock, it’s very safe though!”
There are so many nice, cheap, or affordable resorts here. Please stay away. I’d rather have tried to sleep under a tree and get taken out in my sleep by a fallen coconut than to have even attempted to deal with this embarrassment of an establishment. Ignore the other reviews that read like...
