short version: arrogance of the resort. they seem to think they have "bought" the coast and the sea in front of their property. According to Article 51 of the Water Code of the Philippines, shores of seas within a zone of three meters in urban areas are subject to public use.

full version: walked from the beach from a neighboring resort and chose to have lunch at their cafe. was immediately blocked by some security guard asking what is my business walking in to the property (beyond their sign). i'm having lunch and already have a table waiting inside so i paid no mind to this person. ordered pizza, pasta (carbonara but came out as alfredo), kebab, and salad. all orders came after 45 min. the server was a veteran at his job and was easy to talk to. the taste is all so-so but it is not very expensive and seems fairly priced considering this is an island where residents dont even get adequate supply of water and cellphone signal in their homes. after lunch we went to the beach in front of the cafe, way past their property line. but was stopped by the same guy from placing our things on the shore (where the water level was, an hour ago). he mentioned we cannot spread out mat on their beach and told us to move to the next tree. as we moved to the next few trees there was another bigger, older guy shouting at us in bisaya. that the area is off limits and more stuff i dont understand. mind you this is way past the property and tree line. i told the guy we just had lunch at their cafe so why is he shouting and driving us away. he said we are not guests and should buzz off to the next few trees. we moved and placed our stuff at the neighboring resort. the beach in front of this resort was not very swimmer friendly. there were lots of sharp rocks close to the shore and visibility was so low, you cannot see the rocks, even if the sand is white. the neighboring resorts area were better. this is a resort drives the locals away from the beach everyday just like what they did to me. simply because they own the beachfront. According to Article 51 of the Water Code of the Philippines, shores of seas within a zone of three meters in urban areas are subject...

Food - is a really big disappointment. If you don't mind eating breakfasts where flies land on the bacon (left uncovered) and the serving utensils, and where flies buzz around as you eat constantly, then the beach view alone might make dinign more pleasant. Speaking as a world traveller who loves my country, the Philippines, none of the dishes stood out and it is a very bland dining experience, based on having 7 meals so far. Filipino food is bland with the adobo and sinigang lacking any form of kick. The squid was very rubbery and the fried bangus is soggy. The burgers are meaty and cheap for resort standards however will always be served well done and without a crust on either side. Ketchup and mustard are served in table spoon portions so you must always keep asking, it's as though they're afraid of giving access to more. Staff however are polite however are extremely understaffed during peek hours. Expect a wait time of 50 minutes for A la Carte orders during these times.

Room - very comfortable and clean! Wifi is fast throughout the entire resort. They also have Koler branded bidets and a very good water heater. The beds are comfortable enough however my rooms bed frame creaks each time I move.

Beach- the beach they have out front is marvelous. Hardly any people here and is what makes the whole trip worthwhile. It is very difficult to beat this experience as Boracay is overrun with tourists.

Dive Shop - they have a really great boat for dolphin watching. Probably one of the nicest pump boats I have ever been on. The team here are very professional and friendly.

Overall we enjoyed our experience however the lack of other restaurants around force you to dine with them and the dining experience when it came to cleanliness, and basic taste is extremely lacking. The flies landing on the buffet line alone are a major health hazard which may get someone sick or make one question why they can't just cover the food or lay out fly trap mazes which other resorts have been doing successfully.

Bohol Beach club however gets plus points for not charging corkage fees! So if you feel like ordering food to be delivered they are really...

!!DONT EVER BUY A DAY PASS IN THERE!! is 1200 php !!! is A S C A M !!!

We went there and paid the day pass

Went to have lunch, my partner had to order 3 times as they only had a few dishes available (roughly 4-5 out of 30 maybe), needless to say, food was AVERAGE AT BEST.

2nd - finished lunch at around 3pm, wanted to chill in the beach, as soon as we approach to use a reclined chair, security staff came PREPONTLY asking what room we are (ASUMMING we weren't guest cause our appearance?) said we bought the day pass, which then he wanted to see the ticket as he didn't believe it, said we didn't have as we gave it to the lady that served us in the restaurant. STILL he used his walkie-talkie to corroborate with other staff if what we were saying was truth.

3rd - swallowing that bad treatment from security we left the beach and wanted to use the gym, just to know that IT CLOSES AT 5PM ,when it was at this time almost 4:10pm , and they said we couldn't used it

4th - THE TOP OF THE CREAM, after all of this, we decide to say go back to reception to ask for a refund as NOBODY explain to us that facilities close at 5pm. They cant refund as we consume our food and it was the policy of the hotel, right after saying that, in order to "correct this mistake" to us , the guy at the reception, that was handling our situation (which can say it was poorly handled and had 0 customer service and empathic toward us) he could let us stay till 6pm in the beach (so we found out at that moment that the "DAY PASS" is only to stay till 5pm and while all this was happening we saw people using the gym, which they say "Sorry but is only for guests only".

After all of this, this guy acted sarcastically and pedantic and provided no solutions at all

In conclusion: The "DAY PASS" is only to stay in the resort TILL 5pm and use the "facilities" (and should be FACILITY in SINGULAR as you will be able to use the tiny mediocre pool only) and you will have 4-5 choices of dishes to eat (with average food)

BETTER go to DUALMUAL Beach which is besides this mediocre resort pay the pass and then access through the beach to resort which DOESN'T...
