I love to travel and Hotel Sogo was convenient because they are close to the bus terminal. Last week, we came and stayed there in Pasay Rotonda since we will be going on vacation and the bus terminal is just behind their hotel. Since we are waiting for our room, we stayed in the lobby before checking in. But I was surprised that most of their employees there are unprofessional compared to the Hotel Sogos we have stayed at. I heard the woman wearing a white uniform shouting and scolding on the radio in front of the guests. I think it was her staff who was being scolded by her. I assumed it was her staff because she was angry. And upon checking in at the counter, I was also surprised that their superior was also there and didn't even tell the lady in white uniform not to shout on the radio, you can see from their badge that he was a superior. Their uniforms are not in good condition and look like they are wearing some old clothes and also the uniform of the superior is no good, front desk uniforms as well. They must look neat and clean all the time. Hotel is Hospitality but in this Hotel I have never seen that. Their staffs are lack of training. In the afternoon since we waited for our food delivery, I encountered the same chaotic front desk. I ask the two of their staffs if the Manager is doing her job to check the situation but they replied "no" amazing, right? 😹 I think they need to train their employees how to be with hospitality jobs. Anyway, your rooms are old compared to other Sogo Hotels I've stayed at and the smell is alarming. When we were in the lobby, they offered us a car if we wanted it and upon talking because they were marketing it, they said it was safe because the hotel manager owned the car. But I was surprised upon checking the website that it wasn't legit, so we declined because it was too expensive. Then when we ckeck out, at the back entrance, someone offered again behind the hotel, a sedan, they said. I don't know if this is legit as well. But my company told me that...

Hotel Sogo offers an affordable and conveniently located option for travelers in the Philippines, particularly those seeking short-term accommodations. However, it's important to go in with realistic expectations.
What I Liked:
Price Point: The affordability is undeniable. It's a budget-friendly option, especially in urban areas. Accessibility: Branches are easy to find, often near transportation hubs and city centers. Privacy: The hotel is known for its discreet service, which some travelers appreciate. Basic Amenities: Air conditioning, a TV, and a private bathroom are standard, covering essential needs. 24-Hour Service: The 24/7 check-in is a definite plus for those with late or unpredictable arrival times.
Things to Consider:
Outdated Facilities: Expect older facilities with visible wear and tear. This isn't a luxury hotel. Inconsistent Cleanliness: Cleanliness can vary from room to room. It's not always spotless. Small Rooms: Rooms are generally small, which might be an issue for longer stays or travelers with a lot of luggage. Noise: Noise from other guests or outside can be a problem, especially in busy locations. Specific Reputation: The hotel's reputation for short-time stays might not appeal to all travelers.
Final Verdict:
Hotel Sogo provides a practical solution for budget travelers needing a place to sleep and shower. It's not fancy, but it's functional. If you prioritize price and location over luxury and modern amenities, it's a decent option. Just be prepared for some...
