Hotel Sogo - EDSA near Taft — Hotel in Pasay

We had a disappointing experience during our stay. First, we ordered one burger while waiting, but when we tasted it, it was sour and had an unusual flavor. The staff apologized and replaced it with a new burger, along with complimentary iced tea, which we appreciated.

Second, the room assigned to us had a strong smell of cigarette smoke. As soon as we entered, we asked a room attendant who fortunately was nearby, if that smell was normal. He said it wasn't and offered to spray the room. We agreed, thinking the odor would go away. However, after a few minutes, the smell returned. We left the room and reported the issue to the receptionist. They said they couldn’t move us because the hotel was fully booked, but we noticed several vacant rooms. We patiently waited, hoping someone would help us move. The smell persisted, even on the bed linens and pillowcases it was very unpleasant.

Luckily, we met HK staff member Carlo, who was extremely helpful. He assisted us until we were finally transferred to a new room at around 9:45 PM.

Third, we requested a one-hour extension because we had an early flight and needed rest. We also asked for a wake-up call, but we never received one. We woke up late at 1:40 AM and didn’t have time to shower. Thankfully, I had set an alarm for 1:45 AM still, we never received a call from the front desk, nor were we informed whether our request for extension was approved or not.

I understand the staff may have been busy, but certain service standards should always be maintained. We chose Sogo for convenience and rest, but unfortunately, our experience was...

Went to Manila without booking an hotel for the experience, so i walked for hours looking for cheap hotel i would stay for less than 24hr, and i walked into this one, and to my surprise, it was the right choice, the hotel is better than some 3-4 stars hotel, the front desk lady was nice, they even bow to you, she told me select the hours in the tab in the front desk, though there a waiting time. After that, i was told to come pay and was given room number for my room. They provided

Of course, all was low quality and was given in the paper package.

The room is clean, nice and spacious, the toilet was very very clean and it had HOT and COLD water in the SHOWER and the sink. AC wasn’t cooling, guess cos it was an inverter type? though, it got cooler at midnight.

During my check out, was smooth and no hassle. They provide good services and good for solo travelers. Would recommend...
